I figure that WWE is planning on keeping the belt in some fashion. Otherwise, I don't think they would have taken it off of Christian just to give it to Ezekiel Jackson for a single night. So what do you think? Perhaps we will see an updated version of the Hardcore Championship (or "Extreme Rules Championship", since WWE never holds hardcore matches anymore). With Jackson confirmed headed to SmackDown, we may find out soon enough.

Just a guess on my part, but where ever Christian goes (hopefully back to Smackdown so him and Edge can start teaming again) they might unifie it with the world heavyweight title.

I'd love to see the return of the Hardcore Championship, with the champ defending on both shows, similar to the tag titles.
However, I disagree with LoneStar. Edge has proven to be a strong enough personality that he can stand on his own and teaming him with just about anyone would be holding him back. And quite frankly, if you've got Edge, you don't need Christian. I say keep 'em split on separate shows.

I could see a unification happening, but I wouldn't be against a Hardcore/Extreme Rules belt either. I suppose it depends on how it's done. WWE hardcore matches have generally always been extremely tame, so I'm not sure how well it would get over.
As for Edge and Christian teaming again, I don't think it would be bad on a short-term basis. It has been quite a few years since we've seen the shenanigans of Edge, Christian and the five second pose, so it could be fun for nostalgic purposes.

I agree that Edge is basically a singles competitor now and doesn't need to be back with Christian. Although I would love to see them team up every once in awhile cause they're hysterical together.
I still remember Christian complaining to Edge about Triple H being "The Game" a few years back:
"Who does Triple H think he is? Milton Bradley?? I am the Parcheesee!!"

I need to correct myself, I thought that Christian was ECW champion I was wrong, it's Jackson.
Now, as for Edge and Christan teaming up short term, to use HBK and Triple H as a example, would we as fans clammer to see them team up again and again? You could work them like the Hardys having them team up from team to time and do dream match scenarios, and like I said with Triple H and HBK, team them back up for the long term hasnt hurt either.

I think it would work if you had Edge and Christian together for one run. They could have a run like the Big Show and Jericho did. It can be used so Edge has something meaningful to do when he's not in the title scene.
As for the ECW title, can it. I don't want to hear anything ever again about WWECW. And they have too many belts as it is. What the fuck are they still carrying around two tag-belts if they're supposed to be unified.

I have been wondering this exact thing for the longest time. One pair of tag champions should, indeed, mean just one pair of tag belts. This should be extremely easy to rectify, but for some reason, WWE hasn't done it yet.

Hell, find the old WCW Tag Titles adn use them, that makes more sense then team trying to find "cool ways" to carry two belts.
I remember how, when Jericho first won the Undisputed Championship, they had him carry around 2 belts for his entire run. Then Triple H won it and it went back to just being single belt. I hope a change is coming soon, because it's just stupid to see the tag champs carrying around 4 separate belts for no real reason.

After wrestlemania 26, Edge will be champion after beating Jericho for the World Title, then since Christian is coming to smackdown He will go after Edge for the Championship. I doubt Christian will win, but they will make a fued out of them. as for the ECW championship, At some point or another Jackson will come out saying hes the "uncrowned" champion and want a title match, he too will not win however.
