They are worlds apart. My Master uses both on me. Depending on the bastinado instrument being used eg - heavy or light. If its light like a plastic ruler I manage to take quite a lot of strokes but the pain builds up all the time and becomes excrutiating, a heavier instrument like a cane causes instant pain and I cannot take much of it. Tickling is totally different, theres no pain although if it is administered for long periods my feet do get hyper sensitive to the touch.

If that's the case, exactly how do those work? I like to be tickle tortured in my feet and my wife also likes to nibble (more like bite) my soles.
We tried the spanking (with a bamboo stick and it can be pretty extreme). After that It just hurts and the tickling sensation cannot be produced.

As I can see you are a martial artist. I used to practice Karate when a I was a teennager and the soles of my feet were much harder and virtually unsensible to extreme tickling. Now, my soles are very soft and tickling can be extremely torturous!

What about your feet? performing judo barefoot must produce a harder skin in your soles and also less tickling sensations. Is this true with you?
