Hi all! I guess some of you have noticed Wolf and I are having a little debate on the “tickling decision” forum.

Wolf brought up my bad grammar, and so I thought I would post this about some of my other skills.

First off, I will admit, I'm not great at stuff like grammar, math and alike, but I don't think I'm that bad considering I couldn't finish school due to health problems.

I am good at computers however [not to much with internet stuff though], give me some time, and I can master most programs.

Also electronics, I can do almost anything with electronics. Case in point, my sister has an old stereo [one that hooks up to a big outdoor antenna].

A few years back, I decided to hook it up, but didn't want to use the flat wire. I thought for a bit, and came up with an idea, I went to my local radio shack to buy the stuff.

I told them my idea, they said it wouldn't work, but I bought the stuff anyway.

Got home, and about 30 min to an hour later [had to find where the antenna worked best] I had radio, with my idea.

And, I don't know if anyone would consider this a skill or not, but when I get working outside [chopping wood, mowing grass, ETC] there is no stop in me, and I'm not talking chopping wood with a wood splitter, no, I mean an old fashioned godevil, axe and wedge.

You went to a Radio Shack????? You still got one near you????/ DANNNGG! :woot2:

Yeah, but I wish I didn't.

I don't go to radio shack any more however, when ever I [or anyone really] go there [to my local one-I have been in good ones too] I get treated like a thief, I have heard other people say the same.

in fact, one time they made my sister empty her purse, with no prove she had stole anything [which she hadn't].

I was with her that day, the line to pay was kind of long, so I walked back on out to the car, and my sister told me they said "Didn't you have someone else with you" [or something like that] so if I had been in there with her, there no telling what they would've had me do, considering that in was in the summer, so I wasn't wearing much [just a tight sleeve-less shirt and shorts]

I think it's the man that owns its deal, it is a radio shack, but instead of being owned by the chain, it's owned locally, and my dad knows the owner and told me that he was a real nut [cleaning up my dads langue a little]

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Being able to fix something without having to buy it brand new is a valuable skill, that a lot of people don't have.

I have some skills but don't want to use them to finish my basement, haha. It's been a while since I've hung drywall, but I'll get it done... eventually.

I'm gonna need electrical and framing help, though. Luckily, I have a few pals that work in certain trades that can get me going.

True. As like most people in the USA, my money is tight, so I try to fix what I can.

My favorite tools are duck tape and super glue, LOL, JK [although, they are really handy to have around]

I hear you; one good thing about growing up poor is that you learn to fix stuff, rather than replace it.

True.

It's really the only up side to being poor.

well, that, and learning how to do stuff on the cheap [cheap, as in money] side.

and, also I guess, it allows you to be a little creative with the way you fix stuff. Not to long ago, my bedroom door was popping [air flow] and I wasn't in town [had the money to buy a new [I don't know what it's called-the metal thing on the door frame] thing] piece for it, [only about a few cents] but I had linoleum put down a while back, so I had some scraps of it left, I just stapled a strap of it to the frame [where in was hitting], and now, it doesn't pop
