Part of the delay may come from the time it takes for the TMF to actually process a post.

What are you referencing when you consider the time to be off?

It appears the server time is not referenced to an external source. The bottom of each TMF page shows "All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:24 PM", and is off by a couple of minutes, even after a quick refresh.
