Someone finally built a tickling robot..

I like how there was a group of people who had to get quantifiable "tickle data" like how much force is needed, how to apply it, the frequency at which to press... Shit, maybe I should have done Mechanical Engineering instead of Civil...
 
I don't think anything can beat rib tickling when it comes to the hand of a true ler. But I do love the concept.
 
just want to know what the purpose is, You have to hold it and if its for tickling why not just you hands

Exactly! Remember what the very first PC's were like (in about 1980) and compare to today's latest notebook/tablet.
Tickling robots should get better! 😀

YES!! And I think at some point the technology combined with the continued study of nerves, the brain, muscles etc... will result in an all over body tickling robot. Say with at least 25/50/ 100, 200 "ticklers". Just to see what the mind/ muscles and central nervous system do when tickled all over varying on intensity and the amount of ticklers. It ultimately helps the physically disabled to walk and retrain their... My Bf just saw an article that I will post here because it relates big time. Gotta wait till he wakes up though.

Because some of us want these robots available for purchase. 😀 If it is proven there is enough of a market for it... We would probably end up with watered down version as opposed to say what a Physical Therapist would have available in their office. But maybe not. WHO KNOWS?!?

I am sure that one day there will be a time when a restrained "test subject" will have 5 of these gadgets on each side of her torso, from hips to armpits, and they will be powered/motorized. "Machine learning" is the newest tech craze, so the machine will have a camera trained on her face and will have a microphone hear her laughter.

Although initially, these 10 gadgets will fire off at random times, as our poor helpless subject begins to react, the machine will "learn" her most ticklish spots by facial response and laughter intensity, and be programmed to maximize both. It will soon learn to maybe fire off the same gadget (maybe her right armpit) dozens of times in a row if it sees/hears a significant reaction.

It's been proven that computers/machines are better at humans in almost all tasks requiring computational skills (chess, etc). So in theory, a computer/robot could tickle far better than a human could.

It's a chilling thought - tied and helpless and subject to something that doesn't understand mercy or compassion. All it knows is how best to tickle, and the longer it tickles, the better it gets at it...

From the article "Rubbing underarm is selected as a target motion of robot because previous research suggests that this is the best way for making humans feel ticklish."

So apparently a scientific study has been conducted to determine the most ticklish spot on the average human. And the winner is underarms, although in the video it looked more like upper ribs.
 
Cool at least. I'd still prefer testing and whatever with real humans. Who says you need robots to do "20 ticklers test" or anything similar 😀

Then again, my most ticklish place is my midriff!

It would be awesome for there to be fully functioning tickle bots that can tie you down (but an option for those who don't like it), have different setting for tickling intensities, have different tickle zones programmed to be focused on, register a safe word for them to recognize to stop before going way too fsr, take certain tickling commands you give them, and a care mode to help you relax after the tickling.

It only seems like feet because most people on here are overly obsessed with feet that you hear way more about ticklish feet.

Kinda reminds me of a tickling story I wrote... Attack of the Tickle Bots No, don't click on that..

I personally would rather women be tickled by my hands than get it from some bot, don't need more competition. 😛
 
To me it doesn't seem like a very useful robot or tickle machine. Not yet anyway. Certainly not designed by any one into our thing.

With all due respect, not for fighting, and in the interest of furthering information; it seems many lees and lers wish for robot ticklers and tickle machines these days. But they are somehow way behind the times. Kujman has already been making them since the 1980s! We've seen them at his parties. All sorts of workable and cruel tickle machines that are a cross between Rowland Emmett and steampunk designs. Awesome to look at but the coolest part is that they work so great.

He has a line of full human sized animatronics that look like medieval monks. They think and react to verbal, sound, sight, tactile tickling. They remember what makes the most sound out of you. Scary, wild, and they tickle like all hell and real head spacy to be left in a scene alone with them. My girlfriend was subjected to this at one party and it blew her away.
He has photos and vid clips of them on his Fetlife page and SMTK group.

Just sayin'
