Someone who was trying to publicly humiliate me about my fetish

So a bunch of us were sitting at our local pub's patio, and one guy (I won't call him a friend) who found out about my fetish (his g/f knew and she told him) starts giving me shit about it in front of everyone. It was making everyone a little awkward.

My particular fetish involves watching 2 girls tickle each other. Although I'm into tickling girls myself, I'm married and monogamous and it's super sexual for me, so watching 2 girls go at it,even innocently, is hot.

"Tickling? Really? WTF is with that? Girls tickling each other?...". He wouldn't let it drop and it was getting quiet and awkward, people looking back and forth at the two of us. I decided to go on the offense.

"Hell yes! That shit is hot! You mean to tell me two chicks having a tickle fight in their nighties isn't hot? That wouldn't give you a chubby?". And then I raised an eyebrow to him.I appealed to other people watching. "That's hot, right?". Heads were nodding everywhere, including the girls, with a couple people outwardly questioning my accusers manhood.

He shrugged and dropped it. It made me feel good to have it out there and people approve. Of course, they didn't know the depth of my fetish, but that's my secret....

Exactly. Assholes are assholes. This guy doesn't care a whit about whether you like tickling. He cares about being an asshole. Your tickling fetish became the latest proxy in which he could channel his asshole-ness. If it wasn't that, he would've used something else in order to be an asshole. If you weren't sitting in that chair, he would've directed his asshole-ness at whoever was sitting in that chair. It's not about you. It's not even about tickling. It's about the fact that some people are just wired to be assholes. Best bet is to avoid them as much as possible. Why spend one second of your life putting up with their crap?

I feel for ya. I used to get humiliated every once in a while when I was a kid when someone would talk about me tickling someone. I would turn crimson! But even when you get older, as you found out, sometimes people are totally clueless.
