something that you will remember 2004 by with a smile

What is the memory that you will treasure of 2004?

For me there are three. I got to spend time with my grandfather before he passed away. I got to take him to lunch at subway a few weeks before he died. I remember him telling me that he hoped that he would see me grow up to be fine young man, when I was born. Being that I am 26, I hope that he saw it. I also remember driving away from my visit to return home (about 450+ miles away) and seeing him wave from the door as I drove off. I also remember talking to him the day before he died, and telling him that I loved him and him telling me that he loved me on the telephone.

Somethings are worth money, but memories are worth treasures.

That was a touching post, some1...

I had surgery in June (and no, that's not the memory I will treasure, though it is indelibly etched in my mind). kwildoctr took off work for a week to take care of me in that very difficult first week home from the hospital, and he's been taking care of me in a variety of ways since then. He's been thoughtful and understanding through the almost constant "owies" I've suffered, and yet, he still wants to marry me! 🙂

While I realize that many people have gone through far more suffering, under more dire circumstances, this has been an emotionally and physically painful ordeal for me, and I will treasure the care and understanding that kwil, my family, and my friends have given during this difficult time.

it was a terrible year but I did take a few good moments from it

graduating in June with 2 degrees from The Ohio State University.

getting to see my former doctor and my sixth grade teacher at the open house.

reconciling with bunny and bear in May. They have helped keep my sanity

talking on the phone with Tronnie(Neutron) in November. Talk about a man that can move me!!!! (you make my world bearable, dear) Thanks!!!

Creating new friendships with shdwcoder, Maj, mgctch, tommytikl, Knox the Hatter and tickleshotel. I will treasure them always.

growing as an individual.
