I guess this is sort of a sports topic. It's about music, and sports.
For the sports fans of the forum: What songs that you like/love, did you first hear played while you were at a sporting event?
For me, this came to mind tonight, because, while at Citi Field, they played the Manhattan Transfer's "Boy From New York City". I first heard that song in August of 1985, on the night when Doc Gooden struck out 16 of mils "hated jints" at the old Shea Stadium.
Another song that comes to mind.. "Boys of Summer".. which I first heard in May, 1985, when Fernando and the Dodgers beat Gooden and the Mets.
