Southern Storms

I am also in Alabama. I hope you and your family are alright. I've seen the pictures and I'm collecting donations for the Red Cross where I work.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

I want everyone to know I didn't start this thread to get pity, like I said I got by with no damage, I wanted everyone to please help if you can. Seeing it on tv is differen than seeing it out your window.

And jhop220, same to you, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

I'm sure no one thought that, not to worry.

I posted this link in another thread but its worth repeating. Every dollar helps someone.

And you are right Junger. I've been through a hurricane years ago, in Houston. Seeing the reports of devastation on TV is one thing. Walking out the front door and seeing it in person is quite another.

I am around the Montgomery area, so we were spared of most of the devastation.

I have started a Red Cross drive at my work, and I'm raising as much money as possible. Hoping to get some time to volunteer within the next couple weeks.

I cannot stress to everyone here how terrible it is in the areas that were hit.

I always think that rising through the ashes of tragedy is the fire of the human spirit.

I'm a guy, I never cry, but seeing this is getting hard.
