My cousin who volunteers with the Special Olympics phoned me today, excited about a new book that's just been released about Brett Favre. I told her I'd pass this along to all of the internet groups I belong to.
"Letters To Brett Favre: A Fan Tribute" is a brand new title, not to be confused with the book from Sports Illustrated. It's a combination of essays from the author and fan tributes from people all over the world. From what Kate told me, the book is an interesting read.
The publisher is splitting 10% of the profits between the Special Olympics chapters in New York, Wisconsin, and Mississippi. They're also working to organize events in each of those states to raise additional money to help each chapter meet their immediate fundraising goals.
This really sounds like a great book, especially for Favre fans, and it's helping a good cause. If you'd like to know more about it, here's the web site.
