Aaah. A satisfying dinner from Krystal now rests in my little gothy guts. Our area finally got one. Addendum! Our state finally got one, and, as today was opening day, Jim and I got dinner there. This after just getting back from a trip to Miami, during which we had many Krystals at our disposal. Delicious to the last. I always come away with good memories of fast food places that I'd eat at on vacations growing up, and it's nice to have one in my area. White Castle and Krystal... I knew the glory of "sliders" well before most of my friends. And I'd say to this day, they're a couple of my favorite fast food places.

But what about you, Greater TT? What's your favorite fast food place? Trusty ol' McDonald's? The beefy offerings of Backyard Burgers? Or perhaps Harvey's, for our friends in Frigia?

Share! And grow strength from the sharing.

usually i order a pizza from pizza 73 here in edmonton

theres a few chiense food places around but nothing really in general cause i have none of your state side foods sammi.

i would like to try them though

I have not heard of most of those places other than McDonalds.

I used to eat either at McDonalds, KFC, Burger King or Pizza Hut, but these days nothing beats a healthy sub from Subway.

Anywhere I can get a good burek or čevapi is a favorite place to me.

Well I am usually more for healthy food, but if I had to choose I would choose Shish-chevap (something similar to Duke's choice)... that is probably best place to eat fast food for me...
Imagine this... people who are 3, 4, sometimes 5 hours of driving away order in advance here just to try it... interesting...

I would love to have a whataburger in Tennessee. Unfortunately I must go to Florida or Texas for these fine burgers. One of the places I frequent while on vacation in these areas.

Duke, what's a burek exactly? The things look tasty, but I'm not familiar with the things.

And duck, I know what you mean about Whataburger. They're great, but the closest one's in Tulsa. However, there is a place in Russellville called "Feltner's Whatta-burger. It's a local diner and the burgers and shakes are to kill for.

Lol sammi! Burek is a Turkish based pastry (I hope I got it right). It has multiple layers and is filled with meat, cheese or mushroom... mostly meat, cause we Balkan people prefer it... It is some kind of a pie in short
Trust me after one quarter of burek and one l of yogurt you are wasted... 😀

the hollywood brother likes fatburger a lot. also taco bell is good but the hollywood brother do not eat there as much since they sent there beloved spokesdog to the unemployment line a few years ago. mcdonalds and burger king are also good. there is a local place called five guys burgers that is to the hollywood brother liking as well

A Bacon-Double Cheeseburger from Burger King is quite possibly the greatest fried cuisine I've ever had.

If I woke up one morning to find that creepy King from the Burger King adverts standing over my bed, offering me a Bacon Double Cheeseburger, the years of trauma I'll suffer as a result of the experience would be worth it.

See... eating those Krystals was good, but I still didn't get to try the chicken ones.

I'll have to do that tonight.

As for the mega good foods, I'd like to nominate Chester Fried Chicken, served in numerous service stations throughout the south. While I'm at it, I'd like to point out the great regional chain Charlie's Chicken.

Sammi and I both hold a special place in our hearts for these two fine fried chicken eateries.

Here in the Cincinnati area, the local favorite is Skyline Chili, with their famous "3-ways" (spaghetti topped with their famous chili and shredded cheddar cheese), "4-way" (add either diced onions or beans) or "5-way" (all of the above)

One of the few in the world places where you can ask your date if she'd like a 3-way and not get slapped...(local joke)

Well, I'm sold. 😉 Seriously, sounds like some tasty stuff! Very similar to the spaghetti red that makes many eateries in Joplin, MO so famous. Stogie's spaghetti red is great.

Come on up anytime. I'll get you the best 3-way this town has to offer...😀

I thought you were from Kentucky?

Well, it's natural sammi doesn't know what burek is... i was surprised she didn't ask about cevapi, too. I mean, these aren't really popular in america, I'd wager.
But yes, burek originates from Turks, and consists of multiple layers of bread-like pastry, between which comes meat, of course spiced up with various spices and tiny bits of onion.
I prefer 2 quarters of burek and 1 litre of milk, though.

I eat at non-chain restuarant. Like local mexican and Italian resturants. You don't beat mom and pop buisnesses. NEVER!!!

Haha... yeah... I'm not as knowledgable of foreign cuisine as I'd like to be. I'm surprised I didn't ask about cevapi, too. But the burek really does sound tasty. I'd totally try it.

... So... about cevapi... what's that? >_>

Ok all this talk about cevap's and burek's made me hungry... You listen up people of TT! Sammi is buying cevaps to all members who reply here 😀
