Joseph Grimaldi sat alone in his Manhattan penthouse. At age 32, he had conquered the corporate world amassing a fortune that would rival King Solomon. Throughout his entire life, he had always had a keen eye for the details that others missed. It came naturally, with little to no effort.

Like most of the world’s wealthiest men, he dabbled in philanthropy. His chain of Grimaldi’s Funhouses which stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific were open for free to children. His own love of funhouses stemmed from his childhood. He’d gone to one at a county fair, and to his lament, it was the final year before it was dismantled. He longed for it again, but year after year remained disappointed. He was determined not to let this happen for children across the country again.

But on an unseasonably warm December day, he found himself bored from the lack of snowfall. As he sent out his drone, he began to wonder to himself what his next venture would be.

A slim figure in a black and white costume, accented with pink and teal gave him his answer. Everyone had heard to the latest Spider-Woman to arrive in New York. Her comic books, costumes, and other licensed merchandise flew off the shelves.

A smile spread across his face, and he began following her from a safe distance. Joseph was intrigued, but didn’t want to draw attention to himself. As he watched her lithe dancer’s figure gracefully swing across the city, his heart began to melt. Was he developing a crush? Ideas began to form in his head, he couldn’t just drop in on her, fawning over her with gifts and expect to win her over with his wealth. No, she was a better woman than that. But he had to do something.

He felt the urge to play with her somehow. Then it hit him, he’d build a gigantic funhouse, and trap her inside. He wouldn’t attempt to kill her, of course, but he definitely wanted to present her with a challenge. And have some fun himself. Now to do what he was best at, analyze.

He held his breath as he saw her dart toward a burning building. As she landed on the roof, she immediately leapt off. “Odd...” he thought. “Archimedes...” Joseph called to his drone, “rewind, zoom in on the roof, show me her landing.” He had several motives for this, first and foremost was gathering data. Secondly, was to figure out why she targeted the roof and so quickly changed her mind. The tertiary reason was to get a better look at her feet. Joseph had always been attracted to women’s feet in particular, his wealth opened doors to satisfy his kink.

As he reviewed the video, he saw her leap off as soon as her boots touched the roof. Surely it wasn’t that hot. “Those aren’t boots.” Joseph interrupted himself. “Of course, how could she cling to walls wearing boots? Archimedes, rewind ten seconds, turn up audio, isolate Spider Woman.”

He relaxed in his expensive leather office chair, and listened to the soft *thump* of her fabric covered feet hitting the hot roof. “Yow! Hot!” She yelped, as she leapt off, changing direction, going through an open window.

“Archimedes, return, rewind ten seconds, play on loop.” He took out his tablet, and began making notes for a custom funhouse, listening to, and occasionally looking up at Spider Woman scorching her feet.

**SIX MONTHS LATER **

After months of planning, and a few millions that he could certainly afford, the trap was set. Now to lure her into it. Grimaldi paid an actor and actress to get her attention, faking an assault at knifepoint would do. He’d watched her for months, and found the pattern to her patrols, at 1:21 pm on the dot, Spider Woman swung by his building.

A cry for help later, and his quarry was on the ground. Before she could web up the would be mugger, he ran into the building. As predicted, Spider Woman made sure the victim was ok before continuing her pursuit.

The soft fabric of her costume’s feet made her footsteps near completely silent as she walked into the building. A reinforced titanium door slammed shut, trapping her inside. Showtime.

“Welcome Spider Woman, you may call me Funhouse. Welcome.” Grimaldi said, the audio technology masking his voice.

“Hardly a way to treat a guest.” Spider Woman replied, an annoyed huff in her voice. Grimaldi found the hint of attitude endearing. “I suppose this is a giant death trap?” She asked rhetorically, rolling her eyes under her mask.

“Quite the opposite. We’re going to have a little fun. Make it to the roof, and you go free. It’s just that simple. I’ll even throw in a reward.”

“Keep it.” She said, Gwen didn’t want anything from him. Oddly enough, her Spider-Sense wasn’t warning her of any danger. Nothing in here was going to hurt her, at least not yet. It was pitch black, and there was no visible way out. She had to play by his rules, for now.

As if on cue, lights flickered on, illuminating a path. “I’d get moving if I were you.”

There was a sudden buzzing noise, Gwen’s Spider-sense jolted her and she instinctively leapt to the wall. She took stock of the situation, the floor was covered with what appeared to be copper strips, the walls and ceiling were the same. “What the heck is th.. YOW!” Gwen yelped as an electric shock ran through the metal wall, stinging her hands and toes through the thin fabric of her gloves and boots respectively. She landed on the floor flat footed and was greeted with another shock that left her feet tingling.

“Ouch! Ow” Gwen lifted her feet to avoid getting shocked. Thinking quickly, she fired a webline, and began to swing down the path.

“Clever girl...” Grimaldi thought. “But there’s no real fun in this. Let’s do away with the webs.” And with that he pressed another button.

Gwen’s spider sense flashed again, as a blade sliced through her web, before her feet could land on the electrified floor again, she fired off another web. She pulled herself to the opposite wall, then began bouncing back and forth between them like a pinball. Gwen found that if she moved quickly enough, she could avoid getting shocked.

She smirked a little under her mask, this was almost like putting herself through a round of rigorous training. And she was passing so far. As Gwen neared the end of the corridor, a flight of steps to the next floor illuminated as she raced up them.

Grimaldi smiled to himself as well, the first floor was too easy. The second would be more difficult to be sure.

As the door to the next level closed behind her, Gwen took a moment to get her bearings. The relatively cool metal floor relieved some of the tingling in her feet. The layout looked basically the same. Except this time the floor, ceiling, and walls were solid steel. “What’s your game Funhouse? This place had to be expensive, what are you getting out of it?”

‘As if video of a pretty super heroine in a tight outfit leaping around wasn’t enough.’ Grimaldi thought to himself. He was getting plenty of video of her hopping around to avoid hurting her feet. “Awww what’s the matter Spider Woman? I spent a lot of money on this. Let me help you warm up to
me.” He pressed another button, and the floor began to heat up like a griddle.

“Oh what now?” Gwen said, as she felt the cool metal floor go from warm to hot. “Ow!” she whispered, and leapt toward the wall. It was worse than that hot roof she landed on months ago.

Only seconds passed as the wall began to heat up as well. Gwen pulled her hands away, and leapt off, it was scorching hot. Leaping to the other wall yielded the same result. “Ow! Ow! Hot!” No matter where she leapt, the metal began sizzling under her feet.

It was Grimaldi’s turn to smirk as the heroine hopped about trying to avoid a hotfoot.

Gwen attempted the same tactic as the last floor, firing web lines, trying to swing toward the exit. But the ceiling and walls had become so hot, her webs melted. The same was happening to the feet of her costume as she desperately hopped from one foot to the other. “Ow Ow Ow Ow” She winced, shifting from her toes to her heels, trying to find relief from the hot surfaces.

If she kept this up too long they’d be cooked before she reached the next floor. Gwen’s mind raced an an idea struck her, and she quickly webbed the bottom of one foot mid hop, then the other. The webbing soles sizzled on the hot floor, but at least her feet weren’t being scorched. Gwen hoped makeshift web “boots” would protect her feet long enough for her to dash to the exit.

As she reached the steps to the next floor, the last of the webs had dissolved from the heat, what was left of her costume’s feet was gone.

Grimaldi zoomed in even closer as she sat on the soft carpeted floor, and rubbed her sore feet. The soles had turned a bubblegum pink from the hot floor. They looked smooth, creamy soft, a size six or seven he’d guessed. “Yum...” he said, licking his lips.

The rest of her was just as beautiful, he just knew she was gorgeous under that mask. But he’d never compromise her identity. “Very good Spider Woman, you’re almost at the end. Just one more obstacle.”

“Just get it over with.” She said, standing up. The carpet felt very good under her feet, even relaxing. She couldn’t help but notice that once again, every surface was the same.

“As you wish.” Grimaldi said, pressing the button on his final trap. The floor buzzed and whirred as the carpet seemed to come alive.

“Oh my gosh noooo! Hahahahaha!” Gwen giggled, as the floor began tickling her. After her feet had been stimulated by electric shocks, and sensitized by sizzling heat it tickled like crazy.

She instinctively leapt to the ceiling, which began vibrating as well, tickling her hands. But anything was better than having her feet tickled. Gwen couldn’t help but release the occasional lip biting, stifled squeak as she used her hands to swing over the soft tickling carpet as if it were a raging river.

Using web lines was pointless, she had run out, and cursed herself for not bringing more. She was nearing the exit, and was prepared to dish out a severe butt kicking to her kinky captor.

As if he could read her mind, Grimaldi taunted her with an “ah ah ah...” and pressed a button that released the tile of carpet she’d been clinging to. She landed feet first onto a soft vibrating doom.

“Hahahahaha STOP! Hahahahaha!” Gwen shouted in between fits of ticklish laughter. “It tickles!” The heroine whined, and collapsed, holding her tummy. That didn’t improve her situation, because her costume didn’t offer much protection from being relentlessly tickled.

If she hadn’t considered this to be a serious situation, it might have actually been fun. But she began to wonder if he’d planned on tickling her to death as she squirmed and giggled helplessly.

“Ssss...staahahahahappp... tiiicklesss...!” Was all Gwen could sputter out in between squeals and fits of giggling.

She tried in vain to get to her feet, but every inch of her body that touched the floor was being tickled all at once. Trying to roll away didn’t help matters. Rolling to either side exposed her ribs and armpits. Laying on her back was getting her tickled on her neck and legs when she wasn’t kicking her feet wildly, occasionally hitting the floor with her sensitive feet. Rolling onto her tummy tickled so bad that it was getting hard to breathe. Gasping for what little air she could get through ticklish laughter It made concentration nearly impossible.

Gwen couldn’t tell how long she had been tickled. Time lost all meaning as each tickle that once hit her body like electric shocks, had turned into a warm feeling akin to being touched by a lover. She would have moaned if she could.

She felt a warmth building inside her, a warmth that began to throb. It got more and more intense until she sucked in all the air that she could and screamed as the room spun and world seemed to fade away around her.

Gwen awoke with a start, and bolted upright. She found herself lying on a comfortable old fashioned four post bed with drawn curtains, on a rather expensive looking down comforter. Her hands went to her face, her mask hadn’t been removed.

Her first thought was getting out of there before something else happened. As she hopped up to her feet, her body tingled, it felt incredible. “Wait a minute,” Gwen thought, looking down. The ruined “boots of her costume had been replaced, and fit her feet perfectly.

“What was all that about?” She wondered out loud to herself. Just then she heard Grimaldi’s voice.

“Hello Spider Woman, I hope you won’t harbor any hard feelings between us. I took the liberty of repairing your costume with a more durable, heat resistant fabric. And don’t worry, I didn’t touch your mask. You’re as safe here as you are anywhere, you have my word.”

“Why did you put me through all this? Are you obsessed with my feet or something?” Gwen asked the disembodied voice.

“I won’t deny an attraction, but I wouldn’t say obsession.” Grimaldi answered. “But I’m equally attracted to the rest of you. I... I just wanted to have a little fun...”

Gwen detected the sadness in that last part. Nothing in this entire building had caused her any real pain, or injury. It was almost like a training session where she had to think her way out of a problem.

She wanted to be mad, she had a right to be mad. She felt no danger from her spider sense. This could be the moment where she created a new enemy, a dangerous one. Having quickly considered the options, she decided to tread carefully.

“Look, Funhouse... whoever you are... I’m flattered that you like me, and that you went through all this trouble. But this was not the way to go about meeting me. You could have just said ‘hello’. I’m going now, there’s things I need to do, and I’d best get to them. I don’t hate you... But next time try just talking to me.”

With no hesitation, Grimaldi sighed, realizing his error. He pressed a button, and the door opened. Gwen walked out, and realized she was in a familiar part of town, leapt from building to building until she was out of sight. She couldn’t help but smile just a little. After all, being tickled like that was kind of fun.

Nice story! I like how Grimaldi is more a villain thanks to being awkward than a serious threat out to hurt people.

Thank you! That’s how I envisioned him.

Brilliant with a razor sharp eye for detail. It’s given him the ability to overcome virtually any obstacle, and made him wealthy. But he’s insecure about having a kink, and because of that, he’s very shy about approaching women.

Unlike Arcade who puts victims through deadly games with the intent to kill, Funhouse just wants to play.
