Say you have some leftover revenue. You've already got money in investments, you have no debt and all financial responsibilities are taken care of. After crunching all the numbers, you find you have a sum of money leftover. Nothing huge, but enough to spoil yourself pretty nicely (call it $2000 or so).

What would you do with it?

NEST is in Philadelphia, PA this year...in June.

I would buy the rock for my fiance's ring...she has a ring with little diamonds in it that I proposed with...but I want to get her a rock...she deserves the best, especially for putting up with my silliness!!!

If I were to spend it on me...I'd go on vacation somewhere...I've been in school for years and never got to go on Spring Break...too poor...so I'd like to go somewhere warm and sunny with a beach, but not a usual spring break destination--somewhere that I don't have to fight the sorostitutes and fratbrats for air...

I'd consider distributing it to charity or give it to my mother so she can go on a nice vacation to a country she'd like to visit. If I've been blessed with no debt, my fianances are well managed, and everything is looking up, then the last person I need to look out for is myself, since I'm already covered and am doing a good job of keeping it that way. Everything I have I will have earned, and I can be happy and satisfied with that.

Me, I can't think of that sort of windfall at the moment. Too busy just making-do, here. Maybe someday money won't be such a worry, but it certainly has been(off and on) for the past 20ish years. 🙁 If I do get a windfall, I usually just sock it away while I weigh my options.
But, yeah. Like others have said, a cruise/getaway would be good. Not that here's all that shabby...

Oh, I know! I'd get a new TV. I really nice new TV!

OK, gotta amend mine after seeing some other posts. NEST is a good idea, but not if other pple I lurve from here couldn't also come...I'd spend the cash on tickets for Senshi, Helen, Feathers, and some other of my UKian friends so they could come over to NEST with me...or maybe just come to my house for a few days😛
