For the sports fans of the forum..

Did you ever have so much going on.. or had your mind focused on.. work, personal things.. etc, that you forgot about an important game or series.. between your favorite team.. and.. your archrival team, and then remembered at the last minute.. or after.

As most who know me are aware.. I try to watch all games between the Atlanta Braves, my favorite team, and the NY Mets.. my "Archrival team" as such. I usually get to a game between them once a year, and already went to a 14 inning marathon between them in April. I watched a three game series between them last week in Atlanta.. but then.,.

Personal plans this weekend, arranging meetings and conference calls for this week.. I completely forgot that there is a four game series between them at Citi Field from tonight through Thursday night. I'm not planning to go to any of the games..but when I looked at the schedule.. it was like...ooops, forgot it was tonight.

That's the topic, did you ever forget an important series or game you wanted to watch, because of other things, work, etc?

Twice I got caught up in other Stuff, and forgot I had Plans to go to a Football Game. But I did end up going to both.

This one time in 2009, I got so caught up/stressed out with the ending of my First Semester in College because of Finals, for a while I forgot I had Tickets to a Monday Night Game

And in 2010, I went to a Tough Breakup. My mind was just all over the place. And I forgot I had Tickets to another Monday Night Game

The Funny thing about these games, both games were awful if you're a Redskins Fan like myself. I can look back on it and laugh now, but at that time, it wasn't funny at all.

I have certainly been too busy to watch the Dodgers at times, even during post-season play, but I have never forgotten that they had an important game or series about to begin.

After the outcome of last night's game,. lol, I almost wish I had forgotten.

Final in 11, Mets 4, Braves 3.. GRRRRRRR! This after the Metropolitans blew an early lead, and after the Braves screwed up a late inning lead.

The Braves second extra inning loss in four games at Citi Field this season. The other.. was the game I was at on April 20th, in 14 innings.

Not to digress,, sorry. The Braves will have three more chances to get a win in this series. Hopefully they will leave town with at least two wins in the series.

Edit : With what's gone on in this series so far, I wish I had forgotten. Braves had their asses kicked last night, 8-3, in a game that was.. 6-0 I believe, when I turned it off. Hopefully they will win at least .. one? game of this series.

I don't think I've ever forgotten to watch any major sporting events....sometimes I have planned to get out of bed early for some (say if in another time zone) and have set my alarm, but when the alarm goes off I just decided I'm too comfy and sleepy (then I usually regret it)

I did completely forgot to go to a badminton match that I was actually playing in one time. Due to most business, I had not put it in my diary. I rely on my diary to inform me of things that I might forget due to business, but if I forget to put things in my diary (due to business) then this whole process is not reliable 🙂

After the outcome of that series.. I wish I HAD forgotten, lol. In a four game series this week between the Mets and Braves at Citi Field, the Braves won just one game, last night. While I'm certainly not happy about this outcome, at least they didn't get swept four in a row.

I almost forgot again lol.

Those who have read my blog.. know about all the developments with work the past week plus.

The Mets and Braves play their final series of 2014 in NY at Citi Field from tomorrow to Thursday. (There is another one in Atlanta in mid September).

It crossed my mind for a minute yesterday, and then I completely forgot again until I saw this thread.

Luckily, all three games are at 7pm at night, so whatever does happen with work, if anything, should hopefully be quieted down by that time of night.

I am rooting for the Braves in that series, since the Braves are in competition for a National League wild card spot with the putrid motherfucking hated jints bastards.

Unfortunately, mils, as you know, we were both not happy last night, as the Mets won. It was a fairly exciting game. There are two more games in this series.. so hopefully the Braves will get into the win column.

I will still be rooting for the Braves, for the same reason. 😀
