Just thought i had to share with you all that ive got tickets to the opening night of the film!

And as each day passes im getting closer and closer to pure excitement lol

Sorry for my over-eager nature but ive been waiting for this film forever and im getting to see it on opening night, woo hoo 😛

Thanks for listening lol

May the 19th be with you 🙂

Make sure to tell us how it goes 😉

I was never a big fan of star wars, but I thought yoda was always cool. I might as well ask, which one's been your favorite so far?
Personaly, I prefer the spoof "Spaceballs" but that's just me 🙂

Hmmm favourite, thats a tough one, either Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi, but im thinking after ive seen this film it will be favourite easily! Purely cos you get the best of both worlds, it involves the new characters at the beginning and them the old characters at the end ie Darth Vadar 🙂

This movie looks good. I didnt really enhoy episode 2. Not so much the movie. Just the dude who played anakin skywalker. I hope he plays a darker role and not all the whining we heard in episode 2.

Lost in the Ozone Again

I read the review of this flick in Variety and was astonished to learn that a prominent character in this episode is called Commander Cody! Anyone neck-deep in middle age like me will remember that Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen were a swinging country/rock group in the early to mid 70's. (They, in turn, took their name from Commando Cody, the hero of a series of sci-fi serials in the 40's and 50's.) The group's hits included "Hot Rod Lincoln," "Lost in the Ozone" (which would have made a good title for this new movie) and the immortal "Down to Seeds and Stems Again Blues." Any other old farts remember these guys? (Obviously, George Lucas does.)

cody?

I have read of cody when reading about the episode 3 game. He is soppused to be a special clone who actually has his own mind, (well, most clones are just to follow orders, but his one is kind of like a person), and he makes good friends with Obi. I thought he will only be a character for the game. Dunno how he will play a role in the movie.

Did anyone play the game yet?

Hey, I bought the soundtrack yesterday and it's epic. Being a musician, I always want to know what a movie sounds like before I see it. John Williams has composed some amazing stuff once again. If the film is half as good as the soundtrack, it will blow the other 2 out of the water.

9 days to go...

I read the shooting script for this movie and if it ends up being half as good as it reads, this is gonna be one kick ass movie. I mean we're talkin serious gate and BIG BUCKS.

I would be jealous, but seeing as i work part time as a projectionist at my local multiplex, ill be seeing it before anyone at a test screening ho-hum...... *rubs it in*
Hehe but seriously, im so excited i might pee!

Some of the best quotes so far:

"The Jedi turned against me, don't YOU turn against me!"- Anakin to Padme

"Only through me will you gain a power greater than any Jedi!"- Palpatine to Anakin

"You're a good person, don't do this!"- Padme to Anakin

"I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi.."- Mace Windu

"Every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic! Do what must be done! Do not hesitiate, show no mercy!"- Palpatine

"Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?!"- Palpatine to Mace Windu

"Twisted by the dark side, young Skywalker has become."- Yoda

"You were the chosen one!"- Obi-Wan to Darth Vader

"Soon I will have a new apprentice, one far younger and more powerful that Lord Tyranus."- Darth Sidious

"The boy you trained , gone is he. Consumed by Darth Vader."- Yoda to Obi-Wan

"I'm doing it for you...to protect you.."- Anakin to Padme

"Anakin, you're breaking my heart!"- Padme to Anakin

Hayden Christensen.

And I think/know the whining was highly necessary in order to accurately portray his frustration as a youth who has been struggling with the fact that he knows he's more powerful than he's being allowed to be, that his training is going by too slowly in his opinion, and that he's better than everyone else which isn't so, especially as a mature person. He's an impatient, angry boy. He used to be scared, but now he's angry.

Its just like Yoda said in TPM "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you."

Yoda pretty much gave us all a foreshadowing of the phases of Darth Vader and Anakin is now in the hate phase, which, as wel know, leads to his suffering and the suffering of others.

All of these things are dark side tendencies. Without showing his frustration as a youth becoming a man and dealing with his Jedi responsibilities he has no base from which to create a slide to the dark side. If they just gave him a few minutes to complain that wouldn't be enough. Its important we hear what he's going through and whats going on in his mind. Without it, the becomings of Darth Vader are not as satisfying. For him to be a little boy, and then to be a padawan who keeps his mouth shut, and then to finally turn evil makes no sense and its a huge lapse of time without any explaination other than what the action shows and tells us.

A great portion of Star Wars is and always will be an emotional drama thats really a space opera and not a sci-fi movie. Star Trek is sci-fi, Star Wars isn't in comparision.

ROTS especially is the most emotional of all, because its the beginning of the end, and a true trajedy for everyone...well, everyone but one man whose pretty much living his dream and has finally settled an age-old grudge. Lucas couldn't have named it better "Revenge Of The Sith".

But fortunately, we know how things turn out, and a fallen hero, a man who fell from grace, reclaims his soul and bestows the legacy of the Jedi to a new generation.

The reason I haven't bought the video game is because I just get the feeling that once you beat it its going to have a horrible replay value. And as wel all know, theres nothing worse than a game that does pay for itself by giving you extended fun and enjoyment beyond the original play-through.

if your like me and need to see some pictures to make sure it will be a good movie

go here

Warning Huge Spoiler
