Ok heres my background. I'm a 22 year old male who bounces back from Pennsylvania to Tennessee. I'm actually interested in starting a small tickle video company. It's something that I dont really want to tackle alone but will if neccesary. I would like to get a little background from people with experience in this field if possible. If anyone is interested in talking more about this with me, i'd be glad to talk with you. Just hit me up with a message or drop me a line on here. Thanks!

You too? I have been toying around with the idea also… well making plans for it. I don’t want to do just tickling videos but due to intellectual property and my idea… I will keep that to myself.
But what I will do is give you a little of advice. Buying equipment can be expensive in the onset and cheaper equipment is poor quality for something you will sell. I would look around your town and see if they have an independent film association/club/group you can join. A lot of them have equipment that can be loaned out and usually they have higher end editing equipment for better results. I know the group we have here has a lot of resources you can draw from. It is a little expensive to join ($2500 a year) but when you think about it is cheaper in the long run especially in the beginning.
They currently have 3 Cannon XL H1 ($8999 MSRP) and 5 XL2 ($3999 MSRP) for use. Along with that they have 2 Steadicam pilot rigs (about 4K) and 3 Merlin rigs (about 850 a piece). Also they have professional lighting equipment and sound equipment. And they have a full digital editing studio suite. So the price is actually reasonable considering you get to shoot with professional video equipment. They also have the connection so you can rent out space for location shoots throughout the city and an abundance of knowledge about film making that the person just starting does not have. Now they actually focus on independent films. So having spoken with a few people that are members, none of them have heard of anyone becoming a member to do what I am looking to do but they did not seem against the idea. They did say that I would not be welcome if I want to do porn, which is not what I want to do I want to make fetish films lol. So I cannot have hardcore sex in them. But that isn’t what we are about anyways and by the time I get to that hopefully I will be able to be making enough money I can afford to get my own equipment. So just some food for thought about your intentions.

Hello. I have been doing my thing now for a little over a year. Basically what you will need is:

1. Location

2. Camera

3. Models

As far as location, the more economical, the better. Since I am a one-man operation, I tend to focus on budgeting. Therefore the videos I have produced were shot on-location in my apartment (or if you are concerned about privacy, you may want to rent a motel room for filiming)

As for cameras, I found those expenisve models to be too cumbersom. So I went to Curcit City and purchased a small Sony CGI for about $200 and it does the trick, just great

As far as models, I have been to several modeling sites such as SexyJobs.com and also use Craig's List. Both are a great source of information

I would also encourage you to get a web page (and I am not talking Geocities.. but a real domain) if you want to appear professional.

Thanks

Appreciate it..i'll look around here a little bit and see what I can find. Ive wanted to do it for a little while now but just havent pulled the trigger yet.

It's something I've been wanting to do for years, but something kept holding me back. Finally I just told myself to do it.

And I have loved every minute of it

...

Thanks for sharing your experiences. This is something I hope to try down the road as well.
