Stephen King's Hearts In Atlantis
Cleaning out my closets the other day I came across a Stephen King( along with Anne Rice He's one of my fave fiction authors) book, Hearts in Atlantis, that I had read awhile back, and started reading it again. Damn good book!
With all the political talk, talk of the draft ect,the 2nd part of the book, entitled "Hearts in Atlantis" really gets me, plus thoughts of my own Uni days, esp the 2 yrs I spent in Uni in NJ, when a good many of my mates there fell vicitm to our own versions of "hearts mania" and "hunting the bitch".
( For those who don;t remember one of the 4 interconnected stories in the book, "Hearts In Atlantis" concerns a group of draft age college kids @ the U of Maine, who become addicted to a card game called Hearts, and many of whom flunk out because of it, and the flunking out changed a LOT of their lives, esp with the draft going on)
I was wondering what other readers of this book thought.
