With the Braves 5-2 loss to the Phillies tonight, I concede that their playoff chances for 2007 are over. They had only a long shot chance anyway, and would have probably needed to win their final six games to have a chance. Alas, it didnt happen, and we look to next year.
Now, with the Braves done, I hope the next best thing happens, that our archrivals, and my most hated team, the New York Mets, dont make the playoffs. That is far from a certainity, after the Mets play of late. If the Mets score holds tonight, the NL East lead for them will be down to just one, which means that it wouldnt be so bad, if the Braves lost again tomorrow at Philadelphia, and the Nats could beat the Mets again. It would be huimilating if the Mets, who had led the NL East comfortably all season, would fold this way in the end. Were I a Met fan, I would be very nervous right now.
With the American League races basically settled, the NL East and Wild Card races look very interesting indeed. It should be a great final four days.

You forgot about the NL Central, which I do believe that the Cubs will hold on

Now while you're talking about sticking a fork, you can do that also to...

Detroit
Seattle

You are right about all those teams, natural. I was just blowing off a little disgust, at my own team.
Actually, believe it or not, I hope Atlanta loses again tonight. The reason being that we know they're not going to make it anyway, and, if Philly does win, and the Cards can beat the Mets, the NL East is tied. I think it would be hilarious to see the Mets miss the playoffs, after leading the East since May.
We'll see what happens.

What do you think he said, Barriods little brother when he said," the American League races were basically decided" Did you have to stick a fork in Detroit and Seattle again??? You pinhead!!! Pay attention. Cubs will hold on because the Brewers don't seem to want it and the Cubs don't play Florida anymore.

As far as the Mets being your most hated team Mitchell, what the heck do we do to you??? You guys have been a torn in our side since you moved to the Eastern Division. Shouldn't it be the other way around??? Us hating you guys??? I think there is some loose wiring here!!! And Natural, you are still a pinhead you Barriod wanta be!!! 😛

As far as us missing the playoffs, I seem to remember being more smypathic and not rooting against the Braves a year ago. In fact, I found myself rooting for scenerios for the Braves to make it to the playoffs. Now I read you find as your comic relief. So duly noted!!! Sigh!!! I guess I am not as much a hater as you are!!!🙁

Natural, you are still even in this post a pinhead!!! But I love you, man!!! Man-hugs all around!!! Just don't get to close!!! 😛
