Question for all tickling producers:

Ive noticed that a majority, basically all clips featuring stock tickling that the lock or bolt is not in place. The latch is down but no lock. Has it to do with making your modals comfortable enough so that he or she will allow themselves to be put in them? Other reasons?

Personally I think the lock, staple and hasp fastening is over complicated. I would use holes and dowels that are just shorter than the hole length. Once you have pushed the dowel in below the depth of the hole nobody is shifting it without a pin of some kind.

Yeah well I know for me if ever I got brave enough and ever went for stocks when being tickled-sooo not be the kind that lock and fasten tight and that were restrictive. No way that would totally freak and scare me too bad. I would have to have the kind that don't lock and don't fasten tight, else I would panic. I think a lot of people would feel similiar fear and panic and feelings like this. There would be no way I could relax if the stocks locked.
That is just me.

Of course if you were a designer with an evil turn of mind you could make the mechanism have some kind of "secret catch" that locked when the top piece was put in place... and you could have a staple and hasp for decoration.
