Excellent pic Kalamos! And done so quickly. I really like the dynamic pose and body language. Brings back memories for me too. I like to think all of my lead figures of old are fighting evil in another dimension. More likely they are doing it in a nearby landfill...*sigh*.

...it'd give credence to the story of Pygmalion sculpting Galatea! I'd sculpt me some Russ Meyer Girls, one for every day of the week, well, maybe only six, I'd need a day to recuperate from all that tickling!

I think somebody should give it a try.

that's a good point it is very unusual...
Perhaps there aren't enough artists that are warhammer fans also?

where did you get that idea from? The anime style isn't even that popular in comparison to something more like your style (allthough it is on the increase, a lot of the anime yahoo groups don't get half as many members as some of the standard artist's groups.

at least by my observations

besides your stuff is excellent, and the more realistic approach is more difficult to achieve!

I can't stand up to anime artist 'cause I'm not an anime artist. 😀

There are some proportions I can't really replicate.
I referring to the face features, the body structure...

Especially cute manga really beats me. 😀
I find I really hard time doing anything "kawaii".
Hope that's the right word.


About the realistic stuff... I think it's easier to find real life models than try and shoehorn another style into my own.
They say you can't teach new tricks to an old dog.
