I'm mostly posting this comment to help me keep an eye on this thread because boxed tickling is my favorite.

There are a few good stories about the "sawing in half" magic trick/illusion.

This is an italian story. My translation is little adapted, so It is not the best. Maybe you can appreciate the plot in general.
