No need to apologize to me or anyone. Your time is your time, its not up to anyone else how you ought to spend it.
That wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe this picture will turn into a parody? Only time will tell I suppose.
As for her glasses, Naru is nearsighted, in case you didn't know that. Her eyesight was just fine before, but after all these years of doing nothing but studying, she's ruined her eyesight to a slight degree. She's no where as bad off as Keitaro though. He can't see a thing at any distance really. He has to squint and focus really hard to make anything out. Naru is simply near-sighted and so needs her glasses only when studying or reading.
To that end, I guess you could chalk her wearing her glasses up to a couple things- 1.) If he's thinking of her while he's studying, he might just as well be seeing her with her glasses on. She is sitting back, and no one is saying she's at a beach or anything. It could be a fantasy of her in the same room with him, at the study table. The glasses, therefore, could have caried over subconciously into the fantasy. It can be any number of things really. How wonderful the imagination is that different ideas can be drawn from it. 🙂
If you don't have the strength to read any further, don't. Because number two is sort of deep and multi-faceted. If that doesn't bother you friend, then read on.
2.) I added the glasses intentionally. I thought it would be a nice touch to give her a different look, easily achieved by having her wear her glasses. I think it enhances the overall expression on her face. Glasses can do wonders for the appearance of a character, as Ken Akamatsu has so brilliantly demostrated before. While I didn't take a que from him, I do understand his methods concerning such things.
I was also making a point about Naru. Yeah, she is a study freak, and she has ruined her eyesight because of it, but it wasn't for nothing. She scored first in the national prep exams. Also, by giving her the glasses and having her in a swimsuit looking all cute and sexy, it teaches you not to judge a book by it's cover.
Naru could easily be considered a 'nerd' because of her study habits and lack of social life outside of Hinata Sou, due to them. But underneath it all is a beautiful young woman of mind, body, and personality.
By my adding the glasses, it breaks down the stereotypes placed upon the studious, and shows that in this case, her case, she's got it in all the right places AND she's smart to boot. While this is archtypical in anime these days, and theres hardly no such thing as an 'unattractive schoolgirl', Naru is one of those special characters that trancends the archtypical.
And really, I think the glasses make Naru even sexier. I'm not saying I have a thing for girls with glasses (even though my girlfriend wears them), but I think that if the person, in this case, the character, can be proud and confident in who they are, as Naru learns to be through Keitaro's positive influence on her, that the glasses can work to their advantage if they so wished it to.
The glasses provided a wonderful contrast, that inevitably made them more ideal to add. 🙂
