But it is still here, and in fact, its the server of choice I've seen most people (here anyway) use. How can something so faulty and unreliable compete?

If I didn't know better, I'd say people just don't care. I know this has been a constant badgering of the server, but its not as if I'm the only one. Hell, I'm not even a customer. Never have been, nor will I be.

Bottom line, geocities should just be dismantled, at least the free server. Its been an eyesore for too long now and too many people are using it perhaps not knowing there is better out there, far better.

Why people still choose to use Geocities is beyond me.
Maybe because Yahoo provides a link to it ?
Then again, Yahoo annexed it because a lot of people use it.
