I'm not a fan but I'm glad at least back then they were using actual lighters. I saw some stupid performance on tv recently where everyone used their cell phones instead of lighters. How lame.

Instead of watching the half time show, I watched Puppy Bowl VII!!! WOOOOO.

No really, I was flipping through the channels for something not god awful and I found puppy bowl. I turned it on wondering "What the hell is this?". Needless to say it was the most ridiculously stupid thing I've ever seen in my life. It was just puppies playing on a little 10 x 5 football field with little stuffed footballs and a water bowl in the middle of the field.

Needless to say, it was probably better than the black eyed peas.
 
THe lighting was off, the music was off....the bowl was messed up in General...400 fans that paid for tickets couldnt get in...

Aguilera couldnt remember the National Anthem and looked like Cindy Lauper on a bad day....

Most of us took a long smoke break after the first five minutes of halftime and came back in time for kickoff....

Texas just didnt know how to put together a SuperBowl venue...
 
I've always been of the belief that the Black Eyed Peas ALWAYS sound horrible when they're live. Superbowl or no Superbowl. >.<
 
How about just once....just once.....some real musicians at half time? How about some acknowledgement of your Jazz Heritage just once? in stead of the usual talentless fuckwits?

Though I have to admit, I would have rather seen anyone play the halftime show, except the Black Eyed Peas. They're just a parody of what they once were, not that they were ever that great, and most of their songs are stolen from actual artists (Stevie Wonder for one). I think they're currently dealing with two different plagiarism lawsuits, one filed by George Clinton.

And to think that Rush got bumped from the half-time slot so The Black Eyed peas could play.

Halftime show was good despite the Black Eyed Pees, big Slash fan... Christina Aguilera pretty much fucked up the anthem, much like Obama, she needs a teleprompter.

Not surprised, after seeing/hearing the Black-eyed Peas completely butcher "time of my life" on...I can't remember which show they performed it on..American Idol, I think.

Too bad Ron Wasserman (the guy who did the great music for most of the early Power Rangers seasons) isn't fond of playing live.

"I Will Win" would sure as hell pump up the crowds , and it'd work with just about any sport event (..seriously, go listen to it on youtube..)

Folks, it wasn't a bad performance. The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most popular groups playing today. I find it hilarious actually that people are saying it sucked. After watching The Who and Paul McCartney, it was good to see something more entertaining. Don't get me wrong, Paul McCartney is a legend, but realize that is a large segment of people who don't listen to him. It is good to see some diversity in the halftime shows because the last 2 years were very very blah.... The last good halftime show was Prince.

Yeah, Christina Aguilera messed up that song royally. No doubt she is at home completely embarassed. The song has only been around since 1814....

To Tummytickler69, are you kidding? 9 times out of 10 a black or latin artist will fuck up the national anthem? You probably don't know, but two of the greatest renditions ever were done by blacks. Marvin Gaye and Whitney Houston. I can't find a better rendition than those two....
 
How can anyone seriously say it was entertaining? really, c'mon. it was disgraceful and boring. i guess if your into the whole hip hop then thats different.

so this is what I get of the folks who hated it..


I guess the only people who should do the anthem AND the halftime shows are the classic white rock groups and any other caucasian acts...

as if to say the hip-hop genre and any minority aren't good enough to participate in your All-American shows...is that right??

I guess maybe all we're good for is to play your sports....

I guess some things never change....sad indeed

so I will leave now, so there wont be no flame war...although I got asbestos suits😛
 
They should build a delorian and go back in time to when metallica was a kick ass metal band.
