If you were very sick (sore throat, fever, sinus issues, and dizziness) and had a test that you couldn't make up, would you miss it?

I have a test in 20 minutes and cant decide if I should go..

Yes and I have done it before.
It all depended on my current average. If I was doing well and can afford to miss it I would.

If I was doing poorly I would try my best to make it as much as possible.

I'd take the test. If you've got those symptoms, you're probably not contagious anymore, so suck it up, put your cleats on, and get in the game!

Are you heavily medicated? If not, pick up some zinc, pop them in your mouth and take your exam. Like the previous posts suggest, even a poor score is better than a ZERO.

If you are too medicated to drive, DO NOT!

If you're feeling dizzy because of the DayQuil, then don't go. Zero > Death. I'm just sayin'.

20 minutes. It's not the medicine that I am worried about. It's the dizziness.

Thank you for all the opinions guys! I think it would be best for me to stay home and curled up in bed, honestly. I hate missing this class but I think my husband is right this time, He rather have me, than me have an A.

Stay. DayQuil can put a person under, so you shouldn't be driving.

And a doctor's note will more than likely allow you at least a shot at a re-write.

He wont retest for anything, you can take it early.. but that doesn't help when you get sick on Friday afternoon. lol. I'm about to email him and I should probably see a Dr just in case. lol.

You should absolutely see a doctor. I am unfamilar with DayQuil or any of the quils for that matter, so my expertise in processed medicine is limited.

Going forward may I suggest a daily vitamin, zinc supplement, and an increase of green vegetables? My wife used to get sick about 5 times a year, once she added my advice, she has not been sick in 3 years.

if you have a fever and are dizzy, you shouldn't be driving in the first place. i guess i would have to miss it. ask your instructor if you have any options for some extra credit to help make up for it.

If its something major like a midterm or a final..... I would gut it out and leave as soon as you finish.

If the test represents a small fraction of your grade, or you are doing so well in the class one missed test won't hurt you too much, stay at home and relax in bed.

Hopefully at this point you have seen a Doc..Dayquil should not have that effect on you at all..It is designed so that you CAN fuction without dizziness and sleepiness....

Something more to this than dayquil hon.....a touch of flu perhaps...

It's pobably too late, but it would depend on the severeness of the symptoms and whether I'm able to work through them.

If its something major like a midterm or a final..... I would gut it out and leave as soon as you finish.
