a man was arrested in Bangkok on charges of murder with regards to Jon Benet Ramsey..this is a breaking news story..so looks like the parents have been redeemed...a bit late for Patsy..i never did think the parents had a thing to do with this murder...ten years later..a suspect has been arrested and is on his way back to the US..

Has it been 10 years?I had forgotten it had been that long ago i guess.Hope they finally got the right person.

Here's something I remember: there was evidence that JonBenet was sexually abused; an old pattern from the past that had been divulged in the autopsy. I was wondering if they'd ever get around to solving that mystery.

hmm i'm thinking maybe him still? he must have lived around there at the time? or her older brother? i don't know..

I suspected the brother all along. I don't think it's a coincidence that he was shipped off to a facility by his parents to protect him after the murder. Jealousy?

Interesting...I'm probably gonna get nailed for this but much like the Laci Peterson murder, I NEVER belieived she was as innocent as the press portrayed her. I don't beleive it about JonBenet's folks either--somebody somewhere known to her played a part in this...

XOXO

What I always found outrageous was that, even though the police did not have enough evidence to arrest the parents, they clearly thought they had enough evidence to rule out the possibility that there was any suspect to be looking for other than the parents. Sure, there was plenty that they knew that we don't, but still, that always bothered me.

Well, things like no footprints in the snow around the house, no sign of forced entry (I'm a forensics FREAK--LOVE to profile, I have to do it at work all the time) sent up HUGE red flags for me. Something's wrong here... 😉

XOXO

Yes. Indeed.

He confessed after his arrest..hmm interesting...he was up for crimes in Thailand..maybe he confessed to this murder to get him out of that country..wouldn't you rather be arrested in the states than in Thailand? He can come over here and act all crazy...ok this is starting to sound fishy..

I still believe the mother was involved. Either she let the pedophile in or killed Jon Bennet herself.

And even if I'm wrong, she's still partly at fault for tempting the pedophiles by putting her daughter in those Child Prositute Pagents.

i so agree with you about the pagents..that is just asking for pedophiles to become interested..dressing them up like women..all that make up..

but remember the kids was 6 and this guy was a teacher, so if he gain her trust, he could have asked her to allow him in when the parents was asleep telling her that they will give her parents a surpise for Xmas.

From what i have heard on the news today, this guys story does not add up at all.He claims to have drugged her first, but no signs of drugs were found in her body. There were several other things that make you wonder if he was involved at all.Tis a puzzelment to be sure.

I heard that also Izzy. The guy has been in trouble for molesting kids before i believe, and Thailand is known as a place where it's easy for these sickos to get ahold of kids.(See Gary Glitter) and he had just started a teaching job there hmmmm.

There are a number of things that strike me as odd about this.

  1. Karr claims that he drugged Jon Benet. However no drugs were found in her system and circumstances at the scene indicate that she fought hard with her attacker.
  2. He claimed that her death was "an accident." However she was strangled and beaten to death. How could anyone expect to pass that off as an accident?
  3. He said he was with the Ramseys that Christmas, but his wife says that he was with her and their family in Alabama.
  4. Part of the evidence that Jon Benet fought back was the presence of a man's DNA under her fingernails (DNA that matched none of her family). That means that she scratched her attacker. So, if Karr WAS there with the family, then surely the police would have questioned closely any non-family male in the house with scratches on his body?
  5. For that matter, if Karr had been there then at the very least the police would have his name on file, and when he was convicted in 2001 for possession of child pornography they surely would have focused on him immediately.
  6. Apparently Karr came to the attention of the police about a year ago, because he emailed confessions to a UC Boulder professor who had done a documentary on the Ramseys. Yet all indications are that neither the professor nor the police had heard of him until then. If he was a non-family male staying with the Ramseys the night Jon Benet was killed, it's hard to believe that his name would fall through the cracks. He'd be a prime suspect.
No, there's something rotten here. Karr definitely has some problems, and he is likely a pedophile, but I'm thinking that for reasons I don't understand he may have confessed to a crime that he didn't commit.

I told you something was wrong. I don't get any pleasure out of being right in cases like this but it happens all the time for me...Should've gone to work for the FBI.

thanks and yea...i think he confessed for some weird attention thing..i doubt this case will ever be solved...if they arrest him now..which i think they did on murder one..if they don't have enough evidence they must release him and cannot charge him with murder one again..

whether or not this guy did it he needs to be institutionalized. pedophiles cant be wandering around on the streets. period. unfortunately, i just dont think he did it, there are holes in his story big enough to drive a truck through. i fear he is doing this just to grab the spotlight and draw attention to himself. hopefully, i am wrong on this one..........

yes they can it's only if he goes to trial and is found innocent by a jury that they can't try him again for the same crime. just letting him go for lack of evidence does not mean if they get more theycan't lock him up... they sure can.

Fortunately there is a sure test in this case: DNA. If the DNA evidence found on Jon Benet's body matches Karr's DNA, then seems clear that he is guilty. If it doesn't, then he isn't. So we should know one way or the other within a couple of weeks.

I don't think he killed her. I think he THINKS he did. They've said that he's been following the JonBenet case since it happened. I think he's gotten it in his head that he is the killer. They also mentioned that he had been following another case involving the murder of a 12-yr-old.
