I was just reading through the "First Time" sex thread thing. And I noticed that a bunch of us lost our virginity's when we were under 18...

I, personally found it odd in reading the replies that I didn't feel one ounce of discomfort or whatever. However, if I were discussing something tickling related with a sexual response from that age group (Under 18) or even reading it, then it'd be really awkward.

Does that make sense?

'Cos the age of sexual consent varies from country to country, and is essentially based upon quintessential rules from a bygone era. For example, in the UK, the age of sexual consent is 16, so no laws were broken when I lost my virginity.

When I was a teenager, I felt as horny then as I do now (not right at this minute, perv), and wouldn't have had a problem discussing it with people older than me/of the same age as me.

But, society dictates to us that it's not acceptable to talk to minors about sexual things, and thus we feel weird about it, if the situation ever presents itself.
(I'm assuming that tickling is a sexual thing here for the sake of argument - I know some people will disagree. I don't.)

Yep makes perfect sense to me, you probally see it that way because sex is seen as more normal i guess. I mean people having sex under 18 isnt anything new. But hearing about someone under the age of 18 living out a fetish with sexual conetations (not spelled right) behind it is just a little unsetteling. That would be my guess

I understand, and it's probably because discussion of sex is so casual nowadays, it's like talking about what to have for breakfast. Tickling, for (most of) us is erotic and sensual, and even when it's playful, is still quite intimate. I imagine you wouldn't feel comfortable talking about sex in an erotic and sensual way with people under 18. I think you'd feel pervy. But because sex is totally surrounding us nowadays, you link sex with minors every day without even realizing it.

Am I making sense? 😕

Could it be because you weren't talking with people under 18, but over 18,
who were just talking about their experiences when they were under 18?
Comparing talking sex with 18+ year olds with talking tickling with 18- year
olds is apples to oranges.

I believe that has indeed got to do with what skipadeedooda pointed out that tickling is a much more sensitive subject to people here, at least for me it is. I have no problems with talking about anally fistfucking dead babies with people I have just met but tickling is a totally different subject which I do not discuss outside these boards.
