'Just when I think I'm out... they pull me right back in!'

That's how I feel about this week of NFL action.

The games looked bad on paper, but many delivered. (And I did better than .500 ATS!)

-How Bout them Cowboys? (Yeah, I love to say that in total sarcasm)
-How can the Bears blow back-to-back 10 point 4th Quarter leads vs the Panthers and Bucs, but hold against the Eagles?! Baffling.
-I think I could play D for the Denver Broncos. Seriously.
-Is Kurt Warner may be the first QB ever to throw for 400 yds and 2 TD's while having 6 TO's!
-I just love saying it... Ladies and gentlemen: The CHOakland Raiders!
-Thank God SOMEONE won the horrible Browns-Bungles game:manicd:
-The Titans are really, really, really, REALLY good. Really.

And lastly:

-How many times did my heart stop, I slap myself, or did I cheer maniacally during the roller-coaster 2nd half of the Ravens-Steelers game tonight? I can't count. I just thank God Burgh won!

How say you?

What a week! Upsets for some, more of the same for others. The 'skins proving there are 4 badass teams in the NFC East, not 3. T.O. back to his same old shit while Brett Favre gets back to HIS brand of "same old shit". Barn-burners, overtimes and injuries aplenty to keep the health industry very busy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Owens is a whining, all-about-me, grabass-tic piece of shit. If Jerry Jones and/or the coaches don't squash this now, Dallas fans are very quickly going to learn why San Fran and Philly sent him packing. Sorry, but wasn't 19 throws and a couple carries enough attention for you? Potentially big plays that YOU yourself screwed up? As much as I dislike Keyshawn Johnson, I'm forced to agree with him: if he or Cris Carter got thrown to 19 times in a game, they would give you great numbers and one hell of a performance to remember. Regardless though, T.O. still had a good game. Dallas just wasn't the better team on Sunday, plain and simple. Owens should take the advice of Emmit Smith and just "shut up and play".

Did I see that right? The Jets scored 56 points?? Kurt Warner threw for nearly 500 yards....and still lost?? Perhaps the Jets picking up Brett wasn't just grasping at straws after all. That's some serious shit right there. Yeah, their D gave up 35 points in the second half, but DAMN! That O was somethin' else. Between the Jets and a not-to-bad Bills team, the Pats are in for some serious divisional competition in the AFC East this year.

Sorry Denver, but you failed miserably this week. The only thing you succeeded at this week was showing that just having a great offense will not get the job done. And the terrible 'Chefs' helped you drive that point home.

Don't get me started on Oakland. I think Al Davis actually died about 5 years ago and no one told him, because he is certainly behaving like he's brain dead. And don't get me started on the coaching situations. That includes the Rams.

Cleveland fans are rejoicing and saying "Thank God for the Bungles". Without them, the Clowns would still be winless. Luckily for me, the other channel had the Battle of the Bays game on so I got to see a good one o'clock game. My only regret is that they didn't say "Y'know what, this is Cleveland vs. Cinncinatti. Screw this, we're switching over to the Houston/Jacksonville game." Now THAT was a game I wish I could've seen.

Finally, I get to MNF. I'd like to pretend that the first half of that game never happened. I mean, what the hell was that all about? Pittsburgh O-line better get their heads out of their collective asses and do their jobs. Their first half performance was nothing short of downright pathetic. I was contemplating just going to bed, when suddenly Santonio Holmes makes an incredible grab and scores. Then the D comes in and Woodley scores for the defense. From their it was just a great game. Baltimore is usually a tough game so the score doesn't bother me so much. But the O still needs to start protecting Ben better or the results will be disasterous.

And that's my babble for this week.
