Yeah, I know some people think all of them are ugly, but I like em, as long as they are done well. So how many of you all have them, and what do you have done? I've got three tattoos and two piercings. I have my tounge pierced and my navel, I have a tattoo of a red/orange and yellow butterfly in the center of my upper back, a tat of two black unicorns on my right leg, and a green and blue butterfly on my right foot.

And yeah, they hurt 😉... pain-wise, the piercings weren't bad at all, I'd say the tounge was a little worse during the healing process. The foot tattoo definitely hurt the most out of the tats.

Tatts ..

I don't have any tatts or peircings myself never had a desire to have them. I have friends that have them though I think they look nice if done properly. I just never had a desire to have one on me. although I might get my eyebrow peirced one day for kicks..

Ez..

Mimi...

We went through this last year, and Mimi was the biggest advocate....I'm sure she'll be wandering in later, meanwhile I'll tell you the same thing I told her last year..."IT'S A NEEEEEEEEDLE!!!" And it's gonna hurt! Q (the chicken Mod)

Though I have no desire to do either myself, I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as it's done by someone who observes proper sterile practices, it's perfectly safe for most people.

As far as tats, I have seen some people with hardly an inch of undecorated flesh. Some looked fine because the art was well-done. Others had poorly done work and looked a mess. I've also seen people with only a single or few well-done and well-placed tats. That looks good too.

As for piercings, I'm not really into that. I know it's just another method of self-expression. That's cool. I simply don't like the look of it. I'd never even consider that. I don't even have my ears pierced. Hell, I have enough holes in my head as it is! 😛

Ann

The piercings I have are ordinary...

just three holes in each ear lobe. I also have three tattoos: a blood-red heart on my belly, above the bikini line; a circle of words on the small of my back--"dangerous type" (I like that song by the Cars, and the cover version by Letters to Cleo, plus I'm a writer and I do proofreading and copyediting for a living, so I thought it was an amusing thing to have); and a yin-yang symbol on the inside of my left leg, above the ankle.

As far as pain goes, the ones on my belly and leg were painful, but all I did was say "f***" every 5 seconds. The one on the small of my back, however, made me cry.

Oddly enough, though I was willing to endure a little pain to get the tattoos, I don't like pain at all, and I have a low tolerance for it.

In terms of tickling, my screen name says it all: "lite" tickling is quite devastating to me. 😉 Just ask my sweet kwildoctr...or Myriads, or QBWeaver, or Dave2112, or Mimi...the list goes on and on.

Speaking of lists, how the hell did I get on Venray's latest list? 😛

I have a small bouquet of flowers tattooed on my right shoulder...three daisies and an iris. I love it! And for some reason, it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would (even though the buggery old man who tattoed me wouldn't let me get drunk first! LOL just kidding)!

piercings aren't my favorite things but some are tastefully done as are alot of tatts i've seen...my best friend has a beautiful blue butterfly on her forearm that looks great even tho its fading some...personally i'm under the its a needle and its gonna hurt like hell but someday when i'm less chicken and everything has moved south thats gonna move south has then i'll get one...so if ya see a 70 year old woman with a cherub on her shoulder with lil horns peeking out..that'll be me😉 😀

As a comedian once said "I don't even want to know what having your tounge pierced is called because that means I'm one step closer to getting it done. Suppose I get drunk and blurt out that word. I wake up and say 'Aw noowh mahy tun hath bin pitherd'.".

Seriously I don't want any holes punched in my body or anybody else drawing on my body. My father was in the navy and had a big tattoo that said MOTHER on it with a lot of scroll work around it. Now the E and the R have faded away so it says "MOTH" and the scroll work has turned into a big black blotch. However my former girlfriend had a piercing and I was not too fond of it but since I was crazy in love with her I didn't care. So if it tatooing and piercing makes you happy I'd say fine just be careful.

So Siamese Dream is the green, blue butterfly ticklish. 😀

Hehehe, Q just knows me TOO well!!

Yes, I am a major tattoo advocate. I just simply love them. It's funny because I, like lite, have little or no pain tolerance, but getting tattoo's does not hurt nearly as much as people think they do. At it's worst it's like a bee sting while having it done, and like a sunburn after it's completed. To be honest though, I have had more problems sitting still because the tattoo's tickled, then I ever did because I was in pain (maybe that has something to do with the fact that my tattoo artist is one of my best friends, knows very well about my tickling fetish, and torments me every chance he gets...lol).

About my tat's though. I have 5 of them (plan on getting more eventually). I have a butterfly tribal on my right arm that I designed myself (can be seen on my member pic). I have a tiger butterfly with flowers on my left arm (lite inspired that one). I have a large blue winged dragon on my left calf, a bleeding heart w/sword and roses on my right calf, and 2 blue feathers united by a heart on my right foot (to represent my love for tickling...also hence it's location).

No piercings though (other then ears). Have thought about a tongue piercing, but I am a big chicken shit about getting it done...LOL

Mimi 🙂

Hey Mimi, the tounge was the first piercing I ever had. I'd never even had my ears done. It really is more psychologically intimidating than anything. You can't even really feel the needle, because of the clamps they put on, all you can feel is the pressure from the clamps. The worst part is trying to figure out how to eat anything later, and it is sore for a couple days, but it heals very quickly. Surprisingly, you don't really talk funny afterward...at least I didn't. It's not as intrusive as you might think. It's hard to eat at first cause you feel like you're going to swallow the piercing, but after a while it becomes second nature. And man, once it's in... the possibilities could be endless for stuff you can get. I just have the simple metal balls (with a little dolphin design on the top one), but you can get ones that are like little french ticklers, I even saw a vibrating one in a store...:wow:

So did the tattoo on your foot hurt the worst too? And kurchatovium, I don't think butterflies are ticklish...but the person attached to it definitely is. Hehe.

On my left bicep, I've got a wizard looking into a crystal ball, with some flames behind him. I want another one, but I have yet to find another wizard image I like enough to have it branded on me permanently. That, plus I'd feel to guilty about shelling out another $120 (at least) on myself, when I know I need that money for bills.

on my left forearm i have a tattoo of a tribal spider in black and red,and i have two holes in my left ear.time to get to work on the right side.

Tats....

Word to the wise....NEVER get one unless it represents something really important to you. Think long and hard. Important means in 30 years it will still have meaning. I think of all the kids who got a Taz or a Scooby Doo on their chest. LOL What is that going to be like in about ten years? A piercing you can remove...a tat....well, removing one of those? Not so easy.

At the mo'I have two tats. One is a yed and yellow Tulip on my inner left ankle. It was my first. Tulips hold an almost spiritual meaning for me. The other is a black "celtic style" butterfly outline done in black. It's on my outer right ankle. Butterflies are a popular item, but I got mine after going through a "cacoon and rebirth" several years ago. I see it as more than just a pretty winged creature. Hence...it's placement on my body. 🙂

Piercings? Well, I have my ears pierced once, two piercings elsewhere that I no longer have and won't discuss 😛, and I got my tongue pierced about 7 years ago. It's been in and out twice. Testimony to the fact that the piercing itself isn't so bad, if I had it done more than once! Had to take the bugger out recently for an emergency surgery...and just now getting it back. 🙂 Siamese Dream is right about them. The pain aspect and the fun aspect~! lol I feel odd without it! It's alot easier to get used to it being there than it's being missing. Feels like I lost a few teeth or something! 😛

I like tasteful body art. All sorts. In other words, something that accentuates the person, not takes away from them.

Joby

BTW, Q, the needles aren't so bad sweetie! You just need someone there to distract your mind. That nutcase of a guy asking me how to get to Marie Laveau's voodoo shop did it for me the last time. *giggle*

The needles really aren't that bad. I didn't even look at it as a needle, since I think of syringes when I think of needles, which this was nowhere near. The vibrations make the sensation seem too fast to remind one of being stabbed or poked. As I've said once before, it feels like someone dragging a toothpick across a sunburn. Another thing is that you don't have to watch what's going on. It makes it a lot easier to not think about it if it bothers you that much.

there is a little bit of pain depending on where you get it....it`s more annoying than painful

Mine

About 4 months ago I got my eyebrow pierced. 😎

i have one tattoo

an eagle's head on my left lower forearm. when i need too i can cover it with my watch.
there is never, i repeate never an excuse for a man to have ear rings. and body holes are right out!
i suggest to all, men and women, you are going to be in your 60', 70's, and 80's someday. and you'll look stupid with all those holes, and art work on your saggy wrinkled bodies! when you get a tottoo, try to remember you'll need a good job someday, and you'll be growing older (if not more mature) so think about what you're putting on your bodies!

I couldn't agree with you more, areenactor. Even if I wanted piercings, male Marines are not permitted to have them, and female Marines are only allowed to wear one earing in each ear, on the lobe. Also, it's true about the tattoos starting to look nasty with old age. My father has a tattoo on his bicep of a woman dressed for the beach, wearing a straw hat on her head, which she is holding. In his old age, the tattoo has stretched itself out over time, and what was once an image of a pretty woman trying to keep a straw hat on her head, now looks like the impressionist painting The Scream. Any tattoos I ever get (If I ever get any more, or have the money to!) are going to be in subtle places that are easily covered up.

But...

It's a nasty 'ol neeeeeedle...

Maybe just a small one on the bicep...hmmm...see, Mimi is wearing me down! But if it goes bad, she's sooooo gonna get it!

In another 50-60 years, nursing homes will be full of old women named Ashley Natalie and Stephanie, with tattoos and pierced nipples.

IMO the minimum legal age to get a tat should be 30. By then, most people have enough sense not to get one.

My 23 yr old niece says that she shows her individuality by NOT having any tats or piercings. Good for her. I think the damn things are ugly, even when they're done with skill.

If you absolutely MUST get a tat, Joby gives good advice about choosing your subject matter wisely. I have a friend who joined the Navy in 1969. On his first cruise, his ship called at Subic Bay. He went into Olongapo, drank himself stupid, and got screwed, blued and tattooed. He says that the antibiotics cured the clap, but the tats are a lifelong reminder of what an asshole he was at age 19.

LOL

Ok people, I have tattoos...and a piercing....and I love em'.....besides, when I am 60, I won't care how I look. It won't matter...not like Im gonna get any sex then.

Ha... jeez. I'm surprised a few people on a fetish forum can be so damn closed-minded about some things. So, YOU don't like tattoos and piercings... Why bother posting on this subject then? If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all. There also seems to be a distinct difference in age between people who condemn tattoos as stupid and evil and wrong and nasty, and the people who don't consider themselves so superior. The younger ones, even the ones who don't have any, are more like "well I would never get one but some of them are cool"...whereas the older ones are like "These young whippersnappers and their newfangled DVD players and hunks of metal dangling from their unmentionables..."

To say that youth is immaturity is completely unfair. There are plenty of mature young people, there are plenty of immature older people. I think that some people who are mature as a young person will only grow more mature as an adult, while people who are immature as young people will probably be immature old people, though hopefully they can change. Maturity is about who you are on the inside, not how many years you've been around, and the truly mature people will only grow more wise and wonderful as the years pass...while the truly immature ones will remain whiney little brats for life.

For the record, I'm 21 years old.... I live on my own, and have a good job...not just a good job, but a GREAT job. In case you haven't noticed, times are changing, and tattoos/piercings aren't nearly as much of a stigma as they used to be. My tattoos all have extremely personal meaning for me...my piercings are more for fun value, but they are easily removed if I ever decide that they aren't fun for me anymore. The tats, which are permanent...will not look the same many years down the road, but that doesn't matter to me. They will remind me of who I was at this age. And rather than being a painful reminder; I like to think they will make me think of what I am right now... open, amazed, full of questions and wonder, infinitely interested in so many things, so curious about the future. I may never see the world in the same way again as I do right now, and while some people have tattoos that they regret, so far I don't regret mine in the least. I think I will remember who I was, and why I wanted them, when I'm older.

If you don't like them, then that's fine, but don't come on a thread about them and tell us how dumb we are and how ugly our body decorations are and 'when we're older we'll regret it'... that would be just like someone coming on this forum and saying "you people that like tickling are sick, tickling is not sexy, it's disgusting and wrong and you'll regret ever feeling this way some day." If someone did that, they would be flamed to living hell and probably removed from the board, so don't be surprised if this post seems flame-ish. Cause it is.

I find a few well-placed piercings or tattoos on a guy to be a huge turn-on. I find closed-mindedness to be probably the biggest turn-off possible.

well siamese dream

if you are so happy with yourself, your decisions, and your "bodywork", why does it bother you that some of us don't care for it? i don't care if someone says tickphiles are weird, that's their opinion, but i happen to know their opinion is wrong! same in this case. you're unhappy because you crave our acceptance. so when we say no to body piercings, your feelings are hurt. if you truely are as mature as you think you are, it wouldn't matter how anyone else feels about your "bodywork". next, no one has mentioned dvd's. that wise mouth crack shows what a brat you are.
and lastly, this is an open forum, i post when ever i feel like it!

The only things I could suggest for anyone getting tattoos are:

Get them from a good artist in a clean shop.

Do NOT get someone else's name put on.You're stuck with yourself, but those "others" change.

GodDAMN. I just posted a topic to you a minute ago, but it was a few minutes before I saw this response. Well, my offer still stands in that topic...I still have compassion. But I just want to say that was really, really mean. I don't know why you would say things like that to me when you don't even know who I am.

I said the things I said about tattoos/body piercings because I didn't feel it was fair to generalize all people with tattoos/piercings as being stupid to get them and will regret them later. My wise mouth crack I can apologize for...it was a wise-mouth crack and I tend to make those sometimes. I meant it to be humorous. You don't happen to know my opinion is wrong. You don't happen to know anything about me at all. Though you're right about one thing, I do hope for acceptance from others. Acceptance is at the root of the most beautiful realtionships. And I'm secure enough to say that anyone who doesn't accept me is missing out on a good person. I can't apologize for being honest about my feelings.

You can post whatever you feel like, but I started this thread, so I think that means I can post whatever I feel like too.

(edit) I re-read my post and it is pretty bitchy, I'm sorry for the sarcastic tone of it. I don't want to start a fight and I'd rather it be deleted than to cause one. But I still stand by my opinion that it is closed-minded to generalize people with tattoos and piercings.
