So some people claim that teasing, along with tickling, really makes all the difference. I always figured it must just be a minor change, but I recently learned otherwise.

This girl I've been with is incredibly ticklish, but only if she's aware that I intend to tickle her. It's amazing. I can touch her in a particular way and not have it tickle her, but then if I threaten to tickle her and touch her in the exact same way, it drives her nuts.

It's like an "on" switch. I'm dying to know the psychology behind that. No other girl I've been with has been like that.

That definitely seems to be at least half the battle with this girl, at least. I was just surprised, since the state of mind hasn't been much of an influencing factor with other girls I've tickled.

Maybe not, but had you tried it with the other girls, I'd say it'd likely destroy them. The mental aspect of tickling is just as, if not more, fun than the physical.

I can kind of turn off the whole losing control thing but still concentrating on the delicious tickling being administered to me. I can lay there, hardly moving with my eyes squeezed shut in triumph, but if hubby starts up with playful, cute taunts or saying like "coochee coochee coo", I totally crumble! I dunno how that makes a world of difference for me, but it really does. If he makes it more playful and fun, the less capable I am to resisting. He can tickle my foot out of the blue and I hardly even react (even if I'm startled by it), but if he's threatening my feet with wiggling fingers and adorable noises/words and then makes his attack, I dissolve into a puddle of screaming ticklish goo.

I'm going to avoid the obvious response that it's not usually my lees head that I'm most concerned getting inside, because I'm too classy for that kind of low-brow joke. I just want you to know that I could have made it, if I wanted to. 😉

In all srsness though, this has been a lesson learned, and I'm going to go for the mindfreak next time I see her (though she just moved to another city, so it'll be a while in between visits).

This topic makes me reminisce about a girl I was with who had an unbelievably ticklish neck. I didn't even have to say or do anything, I could just LOOK at her neck and she would damn near jump through the ceiling. It got so funny and playful that she would grab a scarf or something that happened to be laying around and wrap it around her neck to "protect" herself. lol She'd even say "From now on I'm only wearing turtlenecks around you!"

Hmm...you do have a point there. But I guess what I was saying is that females are usually aroused psychologically before they're aroused physically, so I guess that's why playful teasing gets better reactions from them than just tickling them at random...I guess.

I dunno.. all arousal is psychological first. Physical responses are effects of arousal...

The only real generalization I'd feel safe making is that women's arousal seems to be less dependent on visual cues than men's, so in that sense, there might be an argument for a more cerebral sexuality.

Ah, I see what you're saying now. Sorry, I'm not a psychology major and I can't give any accounts of personal experience to work with since I've never been tickled before.
