Tech Question: Sidecars on Kindle Fire

Hi all! Sorry if not posted in a few weeks, I thought about posting, but something always came up before I'd get to it.

OK, Question. I was looking through my Kindle [using a USB] and I saw the "Sidecars" folder and went into it, and it looks to me like a bunch of junk files, but thought I would ask if anyone knows what they are, before I delete them.

I did a quick search on Bing, but came up empty.
