Tell me about...

Well, for me i believe in afew religions i do believe in god but i don't really read the bible and i'm very into paganism aswell as i find it to be interesting and my one friend is a wiccan and she has taught me some things about that aswell. but i think you can learn alot from many religions. but i'm against people who force there religion on others i think everyone has the right to find there own believe's.

I was raised Protestant. At a very early age, I loved science. I was told to beware of scientists, who would dare to question religious doctrine. Now I am agnostic. I'm careful to respect beliefs as long as they represent a striving for understanding and a longing to do good. I am disappointed when beliefs are used to enforce an exclusive club of religion. I admire and respect doubt. I fear the certainty of fundamentalism, whether it's in politics, religion or science. Voltaire said, "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

If I was not agnostic, I would be tempted to investigate the Baha'i faith which seems an attempt to combine all major religions.

There is some evidence that we are hardwired for belief in God. I saw a program that showed someone subjected to a certain magnetic field that induced a feeling that there was an invisible "presence" in the room. This neither proves or disproves the existence of God.
