I've been out of a full-time job for about 9 months now because I returned to college as a full-time student back in september. I have had no success in finding any part-time jobs since then, and now that it's summer I need money so I took a job that a guy that works with my father hounded me to take up. I get there and find out that I'm working 6-10pm Mon-Fri literally just cleaning an office building. I work with people that speak absolutely no English and I can't understand anything they say to me, nor can they understand any questions I have for them.
To make matters worse I have to wear this ridiculous looking vest that all the cleaning crew has to put on that basically screams out "look at me, I suck." I have the pleasure of walking through an office building where a good portion of the people are still at work, watching me clean there messes with a broom, mop and vacuum cleaner. I'm 27 years old and feel absolutely pathetic that I'm literally playing cleanup to a bunch of career oriented people that get to watch me sweep their shit up off the ground. I feel completely humiliated and feel like a total loser doing this.
