So i have a massive problem with people bitching and moaning about Lebron James and here are the reasons why.

People always bitch about athletes being all about the money, and how they will make the descion that benifits their wallet the most. Well Lebron didnt he is actually taking the option with the least money availible to him, he would have made a ton more money in Cleveland,New York, Chicago, or New Jersey but he chose Miami.

Secondly most fans hate players with massive egos, well look Lebron gave up being "the man" which he could have been in nyc, chicago, cleveland, etc to be part of a team and a team guy.

Next Lebron is getting smashed for making this announcment on tv, guess what he did it for the boys and girls club of america. Him making this announcment and selling advertisment spots made the boys and girls club of america millions of dollars in a little over an hour, but yet people bash him for it?

So in short Lebron took less money, gave up his ego, and made millions of dollars for a charity... so why isnt he being praised instead of bashed? This is what we say we want our athletes to act/be like yet when one does it he still cant win

He HAD a team last year that should have won it. If he knew how to actually play team ball he should not have lost. How can he get to the finals one year, with a far inferior team, and not make it back any other time, with far better teams? He had back to back 60 win seasons. Its obviously not the team but their supposed superstar not getting it done.

Because it was in the one of the nation's riches cities. You really think that city needed 1 million dollars for that facility? And why could he not have man up and done this in Cleveland? Why did he have to announce it far away? Seems pretty cowardly to me. And the way he said it and his body language was just disgusting.

He gave up his ego? You don't have a one hour special to announce where you are going to give up ego. And he made 1 million dollars for Charity, so what? You see other people getting praised for raising money for charity?

He will be the most hated player in the NBA because he is a pussy. He had to stack the deck with Wade and Bosch. There is a sense of unfairness of how Bosch, Wade and James set this up over the years. The Heat act like this will be a cake walk but teams will play them very hard.

I don't think any fan wants to be stabbed in the back by their star player.

And they certainly don't want that same player to stroke his own ego by creating a one-hour special explaining how and why he has stabbed his old team in the back (attempting to justify his decision).

Lebron is not a saint for taking less money and giving a little to charity.

He still betrayed and destroyed Ohio while simultaneously proving what a giant douche he is.

If you want to praise a basketball player for showing class, compliment Kevin Durant, who extended with the OKC Thunder (the team who stole the Sonics from Seattle) and then twitted the following:

"Exstension for 5 more years wit the thunder....God Is Great, me and my family came a long way...I love yall man forreal, this a blessing!"

That's class.

Lebron should have taken notes, but he was too busy planning his ESPN media fest.

He could have given the money to the Boys and Girls Club without feeding his ego. I have made donations to CF and to MS and to the SIDS foundation. ESPN didn't put me on TV nor did I want to be. If he wanted to do charity work then do charity work.

Did he need to tell Cleveland and his fans on TV that he was going to Miami? That is a slap it their faces. What did the Cleveland fans do to him. Oh yeah...they supported him and oh yeah...paid his salary all these years. He is being bashed because he is a self promoter, selfish. If you were a Cavs fan would you praise him after supporting him?

He claims he is all about family...so please LeBron tell us what was wrong with your family in Cleveland.

He went to get help to win a ring because it is obvious to everyone he doesn't have the talent like Kobe or Jordan to do it without jumping to a stacked team.

I dont think he betrayed anyone, its free agency, what did they expect?

He has a right to choose if he stays or goes, what you can blame him for is the narcassist way he did this, blowing of the city and the owner, which did everthing but give him a blowjob while he was there, and then this whole hour special to stick it Cleveland and to say he's join Wade and Bosh when they meet up over the summer just makes all three of them look bad.

Blame him for what he did no, Blame him for how he did it, Hell yes!

With Wade standing in the middle, the three preened and posed, absorbing the wild cheering of the crowd for several minutes. Then all made their way down a runway, handing out bent-over high fives to fans pressed against the stage.

"It's not just me up here blowing smoke," James said. "We believe we can win multiple championships."

The trio received keys to the cities of Miami and Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County. The team's English language announcer Eric Ried called the arena "Dwyane Wade's House," "LeBron James's Kingdom," and "Bosh's Pit."

I seen this earlier, and these words were flashing in my mind...

You've. Got. To. Be. Fucking. Kidding.

Me.

The Heat will play to sellout crowds from here on. LeBron will continue to get cheered on the road. The only places he'll get booed are the places that he didn't sign with this summer.

The ONLY place he will get cheered is in MIAMI...They will boo the shit out of him where ever he goes...He looked and acted like a total chump during this process... Miami Heat will be the team that fans love to hate.

Florida has no state income tax. Over a five year period, James would be hit with a seven million dollar state tax liability in Ohio ,and a 12 million dollar hit in big apple New York. In ten years and with possibly a few NBA rings, James will be far more marketable, will make more money, and everybody will have forgotten the cleveland issue.

You're dead on w/ the money point, but believe me when I say:

NOBODY will forget the 'Cleveland issue'.

Has history forgotten Benedict Arnold?

Get booed? They'll do much worse when the Heat comes to Cleveland. Things will be flying out of the stands.

People were pelting his billboard with rocks and setting fire to his jerseys. It will get ugly here.

Do you remember what happened in 2004 when something came flying out of the stands at the Palace?

My sentiments exactly......

The Cavaliers and the city of Cleveland kissed his ass since he was in high school. If anyone was the blame for Cleveland not getting a ring, he's first in line. He doesn't have the spine, closing ability, or killer instinct to get it done like a Jordan or even Kobe so he stacks a deck in Miami while he handcuffs the Cavs and hedges with NY. No one saw this coming and that's why everyone's pissed. There's a right and wrong way to do a thing and what he did was just.plain.wrong!

I never much cared for him because his "Mr nice guy" image is just that......an image. Now everyone knows what's up....talk about a shot heard around the world. Bad mojo and bad karma come with doggish underhanded deals and at some point one has to pay the piper. I don't wish him harm, but if it comes, I certainly won't be surprised.

And for those of you who feel Cleveland wasn't good to him, answer me this: outside of Kobe, how many others were drafted right out of high school with no proven NBA experience? The Cavs didn't know what they were getting but rolled the dice anyway. He was given a chance he might not have gotten anywhere else; what he so-called did for the franchise was the result of them giving his narcissistic arse a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For every LeBron that makes it in the NBA, there are thousands better than him working the playground circuit.

He had good management and a good support system, which he dumped in exchange for one of his high school buddies with no legal or management experience. One day he'll be the next McHammer if he's not careful about his entourage. His decision making ability is as immature as he is IMO.

Enjoy these, I know I have, I cannot believe the fallout over all this, Cleveland is bent, and Miami is seeing more championships in there future, has anyone else circled the date on their calander when the Miami has to go to Cleveland? You wanna talk about must see TV?!

The ultimate poetic justice in all this is if Cleveland does win a championship before Miami does, but we all know David Stern isnt going to let that happen.

How about this? Why not thank the athletes who STAYED with their teams? Dirk Nowtizki is a prime example. The Mavs have underachieved for a long time now. The choked in the Finals, and the 2010 first round loss had to hurt. But Dirk stayed. He knows Cuban is doing everything he can to try and win a title.

Lebron? After being incapable of leading his #1 seeded team to the Finals, he bolts. Man, Spike Lee said it best. They will need the National Guard next season when Miami plays Cleveland at Cleveland. Lebron is used to be adored. How will he handle the emotion from that crowd? He can always say he will be okay, but believe me, he is still human. The "booing" from that crowd will be unlike any other "booing" we have ever witnessed in sports. Lebron will fold under the pressure and have a bad game. How do I know? He's folded under every pressure situation he's been in. We're not talking about a bad game here and there, he disappears when the pressure is at it's greatest. Even if the Cavs win 3 games next year, one of those will be against Miami in Cleveland.

Steve Czaban's take

Steve Czaban summed it all up...

The manner in which the announcement was made, will go down in the PR Bible under the chapter of "Don't Ever, Ever, Do It This Way".

More importantly, how can he even call himself "King James" anymore? The guy has voluntarily downgraded his status in the league. He's an accessory now.

In a span of 27 eyeball glazing minutes on ESPN, LeBron James morphed himself from potentially "The Greatest Player of All Time" into a jezebel Scottie Pippen.

The King? Please. He's now middle management in Miami. He's Dwight Schrute with a 48 inch vertical.

Did that really just happen?

Clearly, James and his high school homies who manage his image, tend to his empire, and control his "brand" didn't really think this one through beyond the initial two moves on the sports chessboard of greatness.

If they don't win a championship THIS year, it's EPIC FAIL.

If they never win one together, it's ALL TIME EPIC FAIL.

The Heat better pray that LeDouche doesn't get injured or choke in a key game...

LeBron fucked it up this year. I don't know how you can say otherwise.

LeBron could go 2-50 against the Cavs. The Heat will still win the game. There's no way in hell the Cavs come close to beating Miami.

It won't matter who wins the game as much as it'll matter if someone doesn't take his ass out during it. I was speaking to my daughter; she told me traitors and turncoats in sports sometimes tend not to fare well.

Yeah primetime, the National Guard, and anyone else available when Miami shows up in Cleveland. I can't see it anything less than a bloodbath; it's not like football where there is significant distance between the fans and the players. I'm pretty sure they won't be selling alcohol that day either.

Again, I don't want to see anything bad happen to him, but I won't shed a tear for him if it does.

i personally hope the heat go undefeated and Lebron tells Cleveland to kiss his ass. Im not a heat fan by any means but im all for cheering for "the dark side".. i cant wait for King James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to hoist up the nba title next season... and i honestly hope they do it in the most classless way possible.. perhaps Lebron could bring the trophy to Cleveland and let them and their ass of an owner get a wiff

and to think i never use to like Lebron

Not.Gonna.Happen

In a million years!

LeBron will be pissing in his pants when he has to come to Cleveland to play. He's already proven he's scared; that's why he flew outta' here in advance. If he had real balls, he would've made his announcement while he was still in Cleveland right?

The Heat will most likely win the game, but it will not be from Mr James' efforts--the team and fans will see to that.

Personally, I see a battery and bottle pelting in the manner that made those Browns games look like a day on the beach. One thing I do know about Cleveland fans, they can be ruthless and merciless on those they hate.

I'm not even a NBA fan, but I'll be watching that game from start to finish.
