Thanksgiving.... why?

I don't post much here but I figured why the hell not.

Why are we thankful for something on one day? To what? To whom? For what? I'm glad to be alive and all, but I'm not thankful to any specific person for it. I could be thankful to my mother and father I suppose, but just on one day? Why are we not thankful all year round?

I know what you're thinking. "Blah blah blah insert reference to harvest time here." Nope! Harvest time is not something special to most of us, since we buy all of our food at the store. Maybe I'll muse about this later on when I have some coherent thoughts. lol

If you had dual citizenship, you could be thankful twice a year!

LOL... kidding 😀 Apart from Thanksgiving, which is not a holiday in many parts of the world, there are plenty of different holidays and special days set aside to be thankful for specific reasons. Take Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day.... your birthday... LOL... you know?

Like you said, I think we should always be thankful year round for many reasons.... but the holiday season is usually a time to bring focus to that fact... hopefully moreso than toys and boxing day sales 😛 😀

On a silly note.... what are you NOT thankful for?

I'm not thankful for the parking ticket I received last week, lol
