A skilled 'ler will judge the effectiveness of her work by her 'lee's reactions. Has anybody given thought to what specific signs one can find?

I find that people laugh when I tickle them, but that might just be me 😉

you funny......i would have said the same thing...however i believe Scared might be looking for more subtle ways to be able to tell how something tickles...hmm i would say facial expressions of course...and the words "that tickles" would give a clue...fighting or pulling away...or like me, holding my arms close to my sides when someone tries to poke me there..

Look for a gentle kind of wiggling away motion. Not a sharp jerk away, but just enough movement so you can tell they are trying to escape the feeling.

Good question!

I think the obvious signs have pretty well been noted.If I`m tickled in a sensitive area,I will respond with any or all of these signs.

However,I do like to try to hold out as long as possible,and will steel my resolve to the best of my abilities.However,I suspect that if my tickler pays attention,and watches my eyes,they will betray my resistance,and reveal that the tickling IS effecting me,even if there is no other apparent reaction.If kept up, I will eventually have to let the ticklishness manifest itself in one or more of the more obvious signs,but my eyes will most certainly give me away! 😎

This is a totally fascinating subject. It seems most logical to me that an author writing something like that might do some vague research in order to come up with some terms that sounded plausible, but I haven't discovered any actual research on tickling beyond very basic concepts, like whether you can tickle yourself. That's no indication that there wouldn't be realms of unscrutinized science behind tickling, though.

A tickler who was interested seriously enough to become an expert on the details of physiology as it relates to tickling, seems like they would be an extremely exciting person; let alone a person to be helpless to.

I've been told by a number of people, who actually made a concerted scientific effort at studying and categorizing that which turns them on, that it completely ruined sex for them after they'd done it for too long. I really don't see the point. Perhaps I'm being pointlessly negative (no pun intended), but, if I'm cuddling with a girl, and then I start to lightly tease beneath her arms, or along her ribs, or grab a foot... I don't want to stop, and ask----or ponder, on my own----"Now, was that a 7, or an 8?"

I just want to have fun, and make sure she has a good time. Analyzing it seems... well, creepy.
