The Amityville Horror remake trailer is now online

VC, You know ive been dying for the remake of the Amityville Horror so thanks! Man does that look great or what? I hope they reprint the book cuz its out of print now and it was WAY better than the pathetic movie. Theyre also remaking the Entity also an alledged true story about a woman who gets repeatedly raped by a malevolent spirit. Scariest movie ive ever seen...bar none! I wonder how THAT remake will be.😎

mannn

I don't even know why i put up horror movie threads. since your like the only person ElectricEye that really replys to them anyways!! 😡 😡

Love the Trailers!!!

Well then PM them to me because I for whatever its worth MOST DEFINITELY appreciate them!! Oh and watch the Entity and get ready to be scared shitless!!

Sorry VC. Didn't mean to neglect your thread. 😛

As a major horror movie freak, I've been anticipating the release of this movie for months now. Saw a trailer for it about a month ago already. Surprised they cast Ryan Reynolds in the role of George Lutz, as he hardly seems old enough for the part, but he's a good actor, and I do like him, so it should be interesting. I think they are trying to play to a younger audience. The "new" generation who likely never saw or even knew of the original. I loved the original, but this one looks even better. I HOPE they do it right!

this is going to be great. thanks for the heads up, can't wait!

I really think Hollywood has ran out of material for new fresh movies. Over the last five to ten years, I've noticed more and more remakes and so-called sequels. I'm I alone in drawing this conclusion? And yet Hollywood wants you to pay more to see their recyled crap!

There have been a few good classic horror remakes that Hollywood has filmed out now. so not all horror remakes are crap!

the horror genre will never hit it big in the mainstream no matter how many remakes after remakes they film. it's folks like me and other true fans of the genre that horror movies will always hold a place in our hearts no matter if horror movies make it really big into the mainstream or not.

Not ALL Remakes but Most

Davis and Lime are right about the remake craze and its unfortunate because theyre are so many books out there would make great horror movies. However Hollywood would rather go for the cheap buck and remake The Texas Chainsaw Massacre sticking Jessica Biel in there so teenyboppers will go see it. Ever try to go see a PG-13 horror movie on a friday or saturday night? Fuck! Its like a bunch of high schoolers having a cocktail party never shutting the hell up! However some remakes are great, dare I say even better than the original such as John Carpenters The Thing, Bram Stokers Dracula and right off the bat that Amytiville Horror 2005 movie is better than the bland original so the ol remake buisness is not always black and white so to speak.
