i like the xbox, but the name xbox 360 is a dumbass name. just my opinion.

i thought they were gonna go with xbox 2 or a new name all together, withouth the xbox.

No i think xbox 2 is just a code name for it. That is not what Microsoft is actually going to call it. It's been rumored that the new xbox 2 to be called different names so everybody is guessing as to what they will call it. But the new xbox 2 has been called different names from xbox 360 to XLifeForce etc..... the names go on and on


It launches May 12th (not the actually console itself, but i think what the new xbox 2 console will finally look like will launch)

They decided not to go with Xbox 2 for what turned out to be, in my opinion, a pretty good reason. When parents are shopping for a Christmas present for their kids, and they have to decide between a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 2, if they don't know anything about console generations they're probably going to assume that the PS3 is a newer, better console.

*shrugs* The Playstation 3 WILL be a "better console", if Microsoft is dumb enough to continue on development without using a hard drive. Sony seems to realize that using a hard drive allows for several better gaming possibilities than not doing so. If Sony continues to hold on to more 3rd party software groups than Microsoft, then Gates and co. might just find themselves in the same situations Nintendo and Sega have fallen into. Granted, Microsoft can always fall back to their PC gaming market, and every version of Halo that comes out will definitely keep them more than just afloat.

LOL... nope... I'm a "reverse engineer", so to speak... I do a lot of video game modding, and I happen to like the current Xbox more than the current Playstation. I just think it's sad that Microsoft is moving backwards while Sony is moving forwards....
