I'm not much of a basketball fan in general, but I've been watching the Final Four tourney just out of intrigue, but the final minutes of most of these games are maddening. I just do not understand why when you're team is down by 10 or more with 45 seconds left you are fouling the team with the lead. It honestly takes about 10 minutes for that last minute to go by when the team that is severely losing keeps fouling on the in-bound pass. Seriously, I understand the whole concept of "never giving up," but when it is impossible for you to come back because there isn't enough time on the clock, what is the point of fouling? Just let the damn clock run out and leave the court with some dignity left.

Because people miss free throws, and it's especially easier if they're still at 1-and-1. Then you sprint down the court with the ball and shoot a 3. Rinse and repeat.

I just don't like basketball all that much in general so what seems like normal parts of the game to everyone else comes off as irritating to me.
