While it's nice that the second article mentions the TMF, I don't like the fact that they call the tickling fetish a paraphilia, which is used by psychologists to indicate a form of sexual deviance. 🙁

Sad to say, a lot of people call it that. Fetish doesn't have a great connotation either. Almost anything sexually uncommon gets labelled one or the other, and those with that sexual leaning feel just as you do.

Either way, who cares? There are weirder things. Like, you know, growing a boner when a girl shits on your chest. I mean. C'mon. That's WAY worse than tickling, isn't it? Regardless if it's called paraphilia?

Well, technically, deviation just means going by a different route -- you know, to deviate. It means, without the moral baggage, that you are aroused by something different from the mainstream.

It is true though that people pile on negative baggage about people who are different, but they are going to do that whether you use the word "deviant" or not.

There's also the whole issue of sexual fetishism. Technically, it's a sexual fetish if reaching climax involves an object (or activity) not related to "normal" intercourse. So if, say, feet arouse you, but you can have normal sexual relations with a partner without any touching/tickling the foot during the sex act, it's not a fetish (again, technically). The popular usage overwhelms the scientific one, though, so anyone who is "into" something that doesn't involve mainstream interests is a "fetishist." Again, the baggage gets piled on. It's "normal" to be aroused by breasts (a body part not part of intercourse) but a "fetish" to be aroused by feet.

Don't get too upset about things in Wickepedia. While it's a great online source, you have to remember that anyone can write or udate an entry. The entry on tickle fetishism was probably written by a TMF member, who did their best to sound like a real psychologist. In fact, psychologists only recognize a fetish as a paraphillia if it is inherently harmful or normally causes serious distress to those who have it or are effected by it.

I disagree and here's why. Eve didn't tickle Adam! It was the othe way around! Remember - God took Adam's rib to create Eve and when Adam first laid eyes on her, he saw her soft, sensuous belly. He's the one that tied her up up with her arms stretched far over her head and her legs bound to a tree. He then proceeded to tickle her gently on the belly with leaves from the trees around them (or even feathers) He spread some of the "forbidden fruit" all over her stomach and licked it off. This aroused Eve so much, her stomach arched up high in the air and the ties came off her arms and legs. Adam tickled her the entire night and that's how their first child was conceived!
