Anyone else in the path of the East coast Hurricane? (I refuse to refer to a storm by a person's name)

I live in an "older" mobile home- which means according to the Nat Weather Service there's an uncomfortably high probability that I'll be homeless by Sunday night, even though I'm 50 miles inland from the evac zone....

....And I DO NOT trust my homeowners insurance to do anything but make the situation worse (just like car insurance does when there's an accident)

Not in the path of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, but living in the middle of the Pacific, I've been through my fair share of hurricanes, and I know from experience that they're nothing to snicker at. Lots of tourists here who are worried about their homes out east as well, so the fear is certainly felt and shared at the far corners of the nation.

My prayers go out to all who are impacted by this thing, and hoping beyond hope that your home is very much intact after it's all through, Slaver. Please keep us updated.

It gave our area a glancing blow, some people were without power for awhile.

My state got hit 🙁 I personally made out okay with only some minor damage but our shoreline will never be the same. 700,000 without power at the height of the storm. Homes washing out to sea. Flooding. Roads giving way to overflowed rivers. Trees blocking roads in every town you go through. And it was only a Cat 1. Hoping everyone out there in TT is okay!

Got power back a few days ago.

Usually that in itself isn't a huge problem since I have a backup generator, but the earthquake a few days before hand rattled something and caused a propane leak. Caused all sorts of problems. x_x

It didn't bother this area too much, there were places without power. We still have a couple of months for potential storms.

We really lucked out....No damage to my place. Stayed at a friends apartment during the storm- we heard the 'invisible freight train' (tornados) at least six times outside the window that night. I'm amazed things weren't worse...

I just visited my parents in Binghamton...or what's left of it. MOUNTAINS of garbage on the lawns of RUINED houses everywhere. This is bad.

With the rain that we have received this week it is going down in the record books as the rainiest year ever for this part of Pennsylvania.
