What was the last big (good time)TV event that you, your friends,or your family got together to watch together.Perhaps the obvious ones are Oscar Nights or Super Bowls - But the last truely special night I can remember was a group of my peers gathering together to watch the
"Beatles Anthology" show that was on prior to the Video Release of the same show.Perhaps it was the nostagia of those childhood days or the new beatles song at the end of the show. ("Free as a Bird" wasn't bad at all - although "Real Love" wasn't great).
Some might say the last episode of TV Shows like MASH,Seinfeld or Friends....Anyway,just interested....

Well, I was by myself at the time, but the last great t.v. event I can think of was the final "Seinfeld" episode. Which was absolutley hysterical. Television has sucked chunks since. In fact there hasn't been a great sitcom since Seinfeld called it quits.

Drew........calmly waiting for all the negative responses

i always expect either the first or last episode of the sopranos each season to qualify as such......and it never does.

for me it was likely the last televised game where the devils won the stanley cup. 2003.

I'm sympathizing with Drew's opinions here...I don't watch 'Reality' shows, period. The Brits continue to make better sitcoms than will ever be produced here.

One of my cousins and his wife did have a family party to watch the first episode of the new season of "The Sopranos" on their new plasma TV.

For our family, it was watching a special presentation by our local ABC affiliate about Hurricane Ivan. Since it slammed us pretty in the middle of a long, frightful night, and then we had no power for a week(or longer for some family members), we were unable to see the devastation that alot of the rest of the Nation was able to see on The Weather Channel, CNN, etc..., so it was very interesting to finally see some of the footage, even though it was weeks later.
