I've brought the claw (a fork with bent tines) along. I want to experiment to see if raking it lightly along the soles of her feet will actually bring tears to her eyes, or just make her scream with laughter.

From what I know of Mimi's feet, they are not the spots that will envoke a scream. I would go a bit higher. The back is a great spot, but not with a fork. Try purrrrring in her ears though and see what happens. 😛
