The loss of ticklishness?

She is not ticklish anymore

I was hanging out with my friend and his wife this week. During our conversation he got a little playful with his wife and tried to tickle her and got no reaction. He turned to me disappointed and said "she isn't ticklish." It seems that at one time she was very ticklish but her ex-boyfriend tickled her so much that she now isn't ticklish anymore. Does anyone know why this happened?

I'd guess, she never really liked it. Can't think of any other reason.
I truly hope it will never happen to me 🙂

Ive talked to women who have ceased to be ticklish anymore. i think its just a mind over matter thing.

maybe when her ex tickle her it was to make her suffer, maybe your friend could try to change her mind set about tickling from something you do to torture someone to something that lovers do.

gentle massages with a slight tickle here and there, once he find a spot that makes her jump don't attack it like a hungry animal but caress, one day she will no it's ok to laugh again and don't have to worry about being punish for it.

This happened to my wife. When she was younger she was very ticklish and her friends used to get her very bad. She just seemed to turn it off at one point. Now to get her ticklish I have to make her explode and blow certain circuits. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. When it works she is uncontrollably ticklish for a brief time never the same amount of time. A few times lately it has lasted for a few minutes. Something has changed between us and it seems to be getting better so have hope. My hope is that we can restore a few more always ticklish places. She has four places that are about the size of a dilver dollar that depending on her body position are always "on" in a ticklish sense. Good luck to your friend.

from what he has told me he has tried to tickle her gently and firmly....from everywhere on her body from head to toes. She has no reaction anymore. According to him..her last boyfriend f*cked it up for him.

I had an experience when I was much younger with the room mate of my BF at the time. He and I got along real well but one day he pinned me to the floor and began tickling...now this was a dream come true....at first. I liked it until it became too much...I said to stop and he wouldn't...When I looked at him he looked as serious as a surgeon or something....no pleasure...it was weird....anyway, when I realised that he was trying to do me harm...I turned off like a light....no laughter...and then I cried...so he stopped....

Maybe her boyfriend was not being nice to her by tickling her....you know...like she felt some hostility....instead of playing....

This experience did not harm me except for hurting my feelings....but I think had that happened alot at the hands of someone I thought cared for me...it would have scarred me....or turned me off to tickling....
