Welcome back to the wilds of Tabor County! Witness, as Mercy Mew and Angie Allgoode tangle with autonomous quills, brave the cat's meow and eaves-drop on a terror-filled tasting session! Please be patient with the upload... tonight's offering is a big one, 35 pages-worth. Once again, my thanks to those generous members who've allowed me to enliven this tale via their borrowed personas and iconic characters. I pray no lasting damage will be suffered at my hands.

A word of warning: tonight's story features one rather gory encounter. Those not interested in such material may avoid pages 17 & 19 with no appreciable loss of continuity.

What a thrill and honor it was to be able to include the famous, fabulous Sir K in one of these Low Roads chapters!😱 He's a guy who packs a definite punch, both in terms of physical impact and cocky attitude! It was tremendous fun to learn to draw him and to figure out appropriate sassy business for him! Thanks so much for the opportunity!

A thousand thanks, Sammi! I sure do know how you love occult ceremonies... Sammi's own graveyard incantation adventure was a beaut! And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if one happened to be hovering around the Cult of Avo'Dromus: that series still has some wonderful mysteries to explore and detail!

Yes indeed... the thing beneath the floorboards (a Lovecraft short-story title, if ever there was one!)... that's next on the agenda! And that's when the story proper really kicks into overdrive!

What enormously flattering comparisons, Kopfhorer! Cartoon whimsy blended with hard-edged outre elements... Dr. Seuss, of course, has been a favorite since childhood (his pleasantly elastic character design and off-handed baroque flourishes couldn't help but be an influence!) And I'm well familiar with the great Moebius through his Heavy Metal work, book covers and movie preproduction art. Philippe Druillet was a name unfamiliar to me, so learning about him was a revelation! And I can well see what you mean... his propensity for Lovecraft appeals without a bit of nudging, while his solid-color art style (he doesn't seem to work exclusively in solid color, but the examples I saw were striking) is the very approach I favor! Thank you so much, both for the new reference and for the compliments!
