Going to be a huge struggle for them in the playoffs..Might not even make it to the series...And I am a huge Met fan...
What is your take on Pedro Martinez.....will he even pitch this year; and if so will he be a difference maker?
Pedro is doing another rehab start on Sunday and is expected back in early September I believe. I think if he does manage his way back I dont see him making much of a difference. Our staters have been getting the job done for the most part, its the pen that worries me. In typical give the fans some chest pain toward the end of the season, Wagner has been a diaster this month, and I cant stand Heilman...

Yep, you have hit the nail on the head they are too DAMN old. By the way, that young team from the Western Division, I think they call them the Rangers they might represent the American League in the World Series. Worry about your issues in Texas and let me know when the Rangers get to the World Series.Are the Mets TOOOOOO old to have a shot at the World Series?

The Dodgers concluded their season series with the Mets last night, winding up with 5 wins and 5 losses (4-3 in Dodger Stadium and 1-2 in Shea Stadium).
Having seen those last three games, it is my observation that the Mets have quite a good team.

There is no dominant team in the NL this year. All the contenders have weak spots on their rosters. Just like last year, the key will be simply to make the playoffs and hope to get hot just like the World Series champion Cardinals did.😎
