"The Miracle Worker" ... mention only

Hey kids! ....... venray1's thread about the passing of Anne Bancroft in the General Discussion section helped to jog my memory of scene in the movie , "The Miracle Worker" ...... during a scene where Anne Bancroft's character is physically struggling w/a young Helen Keller , the guy who plays Helen Keller's pessismistic older brother says something like ...... "what are you trying to do? find out if she's ticklish?" ...... he pauses for a little bit & adds "she is , y' know" ...... man , that is one devious bastard! ..... think about it , here you have poor Helen Keller who was born without the ability to see or hear ..... one can only imagine that growing up in a sightless , hearing-less world must be devastatingly lonely & confusing .... & here is this guy , playing with one of the few senses she has working , touch , & uses it against her! ..... by tickling her! ..... that must've been torture! ..... BRILLIANT!
