Let's see... I grew up in the '60s and '70s and even the worst of the songs from those decades are still near and dear to my heart. So I can't bash any of 'em, not even that "Honey" song by Bobby Goldsboro. You can bash 'em if you wanna. It won't hurt my feelings.

But fast forward to the 1990s, where stuff like the following was unleashed on the public's ears, and I tend to become a bit more critical:

Nothing can remove vomit from my insides more quickly than when I hear the nasally, whiney voice of Billy Corgan as he sings this song. In fact, I can feel the bile rising as I type:

Always and Forever by Heatwave-I think I am the only black person on the earth that hates that song! It was like the national love anthem for teenagers in the eighties. To me, I thought it sounded like something that should be played at a funeral!! Luther Vandross revised it in the 90s and made it a little palatable, but my stomach nauseates every time I hear it!

What makes this song even worse is that it's like 7 minutes long. Oddly enough though, one of my favorite 70s songs is Grooveline, which is from the same Heatwave album.

Another horrible piece of crap is the Cotton-Eyed Joe song.
