The Paradoxical nature of tickling punishment

I thought I wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind for a while. Maybe anyone else thought about this.

Isn't one part of this fetish also the love of the paradoxical nature of tickling? I sometimes think so. For example this game, where someone has to suppress laughing while being tickled or else he/she gets tickled even more. It's like a paradox: You're asking the person to withstand what is already the punishment for failing to do so. The punishment is already in the challenge - if this would be a real-life punishment it would make no sense.

Also sometimes what I liked to do was to act as if applying the punishment was absolutely inevitable. "I'm sorry, but now I just have to punish you! I have no choice." But actually it's just because I liked to do it. Punishing for the smallest "offences" is also of the same category.

What do you think, what is erotic about these nonsense situations? Is there an implicit eroticism in the paradox? But why?

For me, there is a different paradox. Suppose that I am in bondage and being tickled mercilessly on my ribs and armpits by Goddess Shelly. It will reach the point where it is genuinely torture and I truly want her to stop. When she does stop, I am relieved and happy. 😀
But then comes the paradox. About ten seconds later, I am sorry that she stopped and I want her to tickle me again, harder and twice as long. 😱

i love this paradox- hold still/don't laugh or else get tickled harder. it's one of my favs- i think it has to do with providing an impossible situation in which your ticklee knows they can't overcome. when they fail, they inevitably get tickled. there's no stopping it, just pro-longing the suspense.

also, as far as some kind of eroticism weaved into it all- i think it might have to do with resistance vs attraction. you apply tickling just enough to let up and cause verbal teasing which leads to more tickling... one causes the other and so on. i duno
