Reading and posting to Krokus post got me thinking. Not to make light of his thread.

But what does everybody else think of party people? And i don't mean the once and awhile party people either. I mean the type of people that go to partys everynight and stay out until 4 am in the morning or sometimes later.

Personally i don't really like thoses type of people. They are annoying and not the type of crowd that i would want to be placed with and be around. Not because i couldn't hang with them because i'm sure that i could i'm still young but i would just hate the thought of something happening to Jennifer or some guys jumping on her or pushing her because they were to drunk to know any better.

So i'm not to fond of partys or dancing. But that's just me.

I don't like to party either. Going out is fine, but not when you do it every night, IMHO. That's just plain irresponsible. But people are free to do what they want. And if you want to see what happens to people when they party hard, look at celebrities. The pictures and stories in the tabloids speak for themselves. They are quite a sight, don't you think? :disgust:

I agree amk :sowrong:

Most of the big time party crowd scene the ones that stay out really really late at night is my age range (18 to 28 at the very least) i would like to hope so. Maybe 30 tops. The only way that i would ever be a party person is if i knew for a fact that someone that i cared about was going and they told me that they were going to get really drunk. Then i would go for them and be there designated driver. But that would be the only way that you would see me staying in the clubs and dance halls out into the wee hours of the morning.

Even though i will be 22 years old here pretty soon. It's just not for me.

I believe that when you're out doing this every night, there's something missing in your life, or there's something very much askew. I did this myself at one time. There weren't enough hours in the day, I lived like the next day someone was going to strap me into an electric chair...and mixing booze and speed's always a dangerous game, folks. In retrospect, it was just another episode of depression.

It's like, there's a hole in your soul, and some people eventually find a way to fill it, and others don't, and I've known people still doing this at 35. Not pretty.

i'm wondering how do these people hold down jobs if they are out all hours of the night? its bound to show in how productive they are at work. even if i wanted to party all night, i would be dead in bed by ten. i am an early riser, i love mornings best i have never been a night person. even back when david played in a band and i would sometimes go with him, i would nod off at the table. sighs i know i'm a dull dull person lol and about drinking, i only drink at home. never ever drink and drive.

I know. If your out going to partys every night there has to be something wrong with you in your life or a hole to fill or there has to be low self esteem issues. And not to mention there own kids parents (the ones that DO care for them and love them) they have to be worried sick when they hear that there son's of daughter's are out there again that late at night not calling or coming home. There just partying it up and drinking after more drinking. The parents not knowing if there child is dead or over dosed on drugs.

I'm going to have to play the Devil's Advocate on this one (big surprise there). I have a number of "party people" friends who serve their purpose well. What I mean is this: in life, you sometimes get to the point where the absurdity and depressing nature of existence becomes too much. On those occasions, you get drunk or high to relieve some stress. I did this a lot more when I was in college than I do now, because I have a job and because I have to worry about drug tests. My party friends are always there to invite me to gatherings I might not otherwise know about. These aren't the kind of people I hang out with on a regular basis, but they're fun to be with in the right environment. They're also not the kind of people I'd trust with something important, but you'd have to be stupid to do that anyway.

My real friends are often not the most exciting people to be around, but I can relate to them well, and most importantly, I can trust them. Nonetheless, party people (at least for me) serve a valid purpose in my life. I'd rather hang out with a wide variety of people than pigeonhole myself into one social group.

Oh yeah, and if anyone cares, I'm 26.

And that purpose or purposes would be? to what? puck all over the place and be sick for the rest of the night/day? pass out so drunk that you don't even know where you are the next day? etc..

Still no thank you. I'm sorry. :sowrong:

You've had some bad experiences, haven't you? All partying requires is a good balance of being carefree but knowing your limits. You learn your limits after the first few puking experiences.... lol

My personal limit involves liquor. For some reason or another, I can drink plenty of beer without getting sick, but it doesn't take much liquor to irritate my digestion. Therefore, I don't really drink liquor anymore.

If you don't take any risks in life, you get bored, and you never get to really learn your limits.
